WWE World Cup Tournament qualifying matches announced for SmackDown

The WWE are set for their second visit to the Middle East for the Crown Jewel event. With multiple title matches already announced for the show, the event will also include the first ever WWE World Cup tournament.

This week’s episode of SmackDown will see two qualification matches for the event with “The Viper” Randy Orton taking on the returning Big Show, while Jeff Hardy returns to action to face Samoa Joe.

The Big Show was last seen in a steel cage match encounter against Braun Strowman after which Show was written off television with a vicious post-match attack that saw Strowman throw the giant through the steel cage. Show underwent a hip surgery weeks later and now looks to be back in action after his recovery.
