WWE Writer Buries Randy Orton Mask Storyline

Vince Russo, the former WWE writer has slammed WWE for halting the development of Randy Orton and The Fiend storyline.

Vince Russo criticizes Randy Orton for not opening up to WWE

The Viper’s face was burnt by Alexa Bliss last week and he was seen sporting a mask to hide his burnt face on this week’s Monday Night Raw.

But, WWE interestingly took a different direction for Orton. On this week’s edition of Raw, he declared his spot in the Men’s Royal Rumble.

Russo believes that it was irrelevant and Orton, being the veteran star should have been vocal about WWE’s decision of not developing the storyline with The Fiend.

He took to his Twitter account and said that had it been Stone Cold Steve Austin instead of Orton, he would have laughed at the storyline not developing.

He said:

“Can’t IMAGINE @steveaustinBSR arriving at TV & asking-“What am I doing tonight?” following someone BURNING HIS !@#$ FACE the Week Prior & me answering, “You’re Going 2 Declare Yourself in the Royal Rumble”. Steve would’ve laughed in my face. At some point-TALENT needs 2 Speak Up.”

Russo in another Tweet said that the quality of wrestling product all around is getting slumped. He claimed that it is hurting the ones who made living from that.

He further said:

“The faltering/failing wrestling product is hurting many of those who once made a living from it and are trying to continue to do so. Twice as hard due to the fact that those who could help-are being kept away due to job security concerns. Sad all around.”

It is to be seen whether WWE decides to reignite the feud between Orton and The Fiend in the near future.
