WWE’s possible strategy to combat AEW in October

With WWE’s television contract with Fox that will start in October, the company will go through changes and these might also affect the wrestling world as we know it. Fox is reportedly not impressed with WWE right now and so a meeting will be held next week to address some issues and changes.

On top of WWE’s reputation being on the line for the Fox deal, the company also has to combat AEW’s TNT show that will debut in the Fall of this year as well. WWE will have to try to prove that it is the best pro wrestling company on the planet.

According to a report by Brad Shepard, WWE isn’t merely trying to differentiate which show will be the “A” or “B” show in the company, but they are trying to make sure that fans view the company as the “A Company” as well.

According to a high level source in #WWE, the company’s strategy going into Fox isn’t just about which WWE show will be the ‘A’ show (between SD & Raw), but it’s about WWE presenting themselves as the “A” pro wrestling/sports entertainment company, as #AEW airs on TNT.
