Recently, a few rumors surfaced on the internet stating that the WWE makes 0$ from airing NXT on the USA Network on Wednesday nights. This caused a lot of buzz in the wrestling community and now, we might finally have the answer to the validity of these rumors.
Dave Meltzer reports on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is making 30 Million USD for airing NXT on USA Network.
This report squashes the aforementioned rumors in a big way. Although 30 Million USD stands nowhere close to what the company makes from their telecast of Raw and SmackDown, it is still better than making no money at all.
If NXT succeeds to pull in big numbers in weekly ratings, then the 30 Million figure is sure to increase. However, the company is having a hard time defeating their weekly rivals – AEW Dynamite as of late.
