Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming tour has reportedly sparked crisis talks among organizers, who are concerned about poor ticket sales and the potential embarrassment of performing to sparse crowds. Despite suggestions from Live Nation to cancel all 30 dates, neither Lopez nor her longtime manager Benny Medina were swayed.
Medina, who has been instrumental in Lopez’s career since its inception in 1999, reportedly pushed for the tour, believing that her recent album, “This Is Me… Now,” which focuses on her rekindled romance with Ben Affleck, needed to be showcased to audiences.
However, some insiders suggest that Lopez may have become “overexposed,” with her recent projects and personal life dominating media attention. Despite her marketing prowess, there appears to be waning interest in her relationship with Affleck, according to former publicist Rob Shuter.
Reports indicate that Live Nation held discussions with Medina to address concerns about ticket sales, fearing the potential embarrassment of performing to empty seats. Yet, Lopez remains resolute in continuing with the tour, despite the risks.
