During a recent edition of The Bellas Podcast, Nikki Bella discussed her last run with WWE and more specifically her match against former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at WWE’s first and so far only Women’s only pay-per-view event, Evolution. In that particular match, Bella and Rousey main evented the evening with Rousey defeating Nikki Bella via submission to retain the WWE Raw Women’s championship. During the podcast she stated how her last run was particularly difficult on her due to her breakup with future WWE Hall of Famer John Cena being fresh. Bella made the following comments.
“I, at least, want to do that one last run. I know I put the effort that I had and the desire and the passion I used to have put back in that run [with WWE]. I feel like, for me now it would be different; because when I went back for that run with Ronda [Rousey] it was just a really difficult time for me because of the breakup [with John Cena] and it was just a hard time being back there so quick.”
“So, I wanna go back and have that last run be everything want it to be.”
