WCHS-TV in Huntington, West Virginia is reporting that WWE fans who attended Sunday’s live event were asked to arrive early and went through multiple levels of security.

 


 

Also, security told fans that had a backpack or purse that they will be required to pour the contents that are in their backpack or purse into a clear bag and then return the purse or backpack to their vehicle.

The reason for the extra security precautions is because of a claim made by an online activist group that the Survivor Series event was targeted for a terrorist attack earlier this month. As noted, there was no attack made at the event.

We’ve noted earlier on the site that WWE plans to have extra security at all of their events going forward.
