Roman Reigns Entrance ‘Ruined’ On Smackdown

Just before Roman Reigns came out, WWE put a CGI Smackdown fist on the screen, angering longtime fans who expected to see the real thing on the ‘old school’ episode as it is in the WWE warehouse. Multiple fans tweeted calling it a ‘disappointment.’ The word ‘terrible’ was used by many fans. Jimmy Uso came out during Reigns’ promo to join his stable.

WWE Superstar Roman Reigns is certainly one of the top Superstars in the company right now and has been on a solid run as the WWE Universal Champion, but he is losing his top spot to two WWE Smackdown women. Roman Reigns successfully defended his WWE Universal Championship against WWE Hall Of Famer Edge and Daniel Bryan in a triple threat match in the main event of Night Two of WrestleMania 37. Roman Reigns also might have injured da top Smackdown Superstar.

Former WWE referee Mike Chioda spoke in a recent interview with Michael Morales Torres of Lucha Libre Online where he talked about Roman Reigns deserving more respect from the crowd at WrestleMania 31.

“Roman wasn’t getting the respect he deserved,” Chioda said. “And Roman deserved a lot more respect at that time, I thought.

Chioda then stated that he always believed the original plan was for Seth Rollins to come down during the main event of WrestleMania 31 and cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase.

“I remember there was either two plans,” Chioda said. “There was that… (actually) I think that was the original plan for that night? We got called out of the blue on it, but I’m pretty sure we worked that out that night to be honest with you, and that was pretty planned.”
