Sasha Banks appeared in the WWE Royal Rumble match but sadly did not win, but she posted new photos in a leather outfit for her fans.

One name that did not return at the Royal Rumble was CM Punk. CM Punk has been a top star of WWE. He is currently signed with AEW last year after being away from pro-wrestling for seven long years. He has been rumored on multiple occasions for making an appearance in WWE around the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. Instead of doing that, he opted for AEW and he is having a great time in the promotion.

The fans often post memes and fuel up rumors about wrestlers’ return and Punk’s name was no exception. Jon Moxley, CM Punk, and Cody Rhodes were all rumored to make their presence felt at this year’s Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. Punk had previously teased the fans about a Royal Rumble return as well.

CM Punk opens up on trolling fans

‘The Second City Savior’ recently spoke to Abe Kanan and he reflected on his trolling:

“From my perspective, when I left, that’s what it was every year. This is the first year they had the Royal Rumble that I have been back in wrestling, but I work somewhere else, and people were still making shit up and saying I was going to be in the Rumble or Cody (Rhodes) was going to be in the Rumble or (Jon) Moxley was going to be in the Rumble. I get it, people want to be excited about it, but if you want to watch us, watch AEW. That’s what Twitter is for. It’s a cesspool and garbage and I want to delete it off my phone, but every once in a while it’s a ray of sunshine and fun stuff.”

Punk began joking about a possible Rumble appearance earlier in the month when he asked Dave Meltzer if he was going to be in the Rumble.

He said about the tweet:

“I wanted to test the waters and see if I was going to be in it. They wish.”

Punk took on MJF during last night’s AEW Dynamite.
