The Rock is one of the greatest stars in pro wrestling history. He has had a legendary pro wrestling career in WWE. Fans are eagerly waiting to see him back in the squared circle. ‘The Great One’ slated to make his return to the company soon to set up a match against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. There is speculation that he might return at Royal Rumble next year. The Rock could return to WWE sooner than expected, it has now been claimed.
The Rock might return soon
Dwayne Johnson is rumored to be coming back to wrestling next year for a match at WrestleMania 39. The Wrestling Observer has reported for months that The Rock will be back at the huge show next year for a match with Roman Reigns, his real-life cousin.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has noted that “there’s a chance” that The Rock is back for the Royal Rumble in January 2023.
“This Royal Rumble, there’s so many different things that they can do at this Royal Rumble to build up to WrestleMania. Obviously everyone would expect Cody, there’s always the chance of Dwayne, others that can be thrown in there.”
WWE has announced that the Royal Rumble next year has broken live gate records, surpassing $5m over the weekend, so it’ll clearly be a big show regardless of whether or not The Rock does show up or not. We will have to see what is in store for the fans.
