The Rock Makes Bold Royal Rumble Statement

The Rock has commented on the 22nd anniversary of his Royal Rumble ‘I Quit’ WWE Championship match with Mick Foley. The Rock’s last Royal Rumble match was against CM Punk for the WWE Championship in 2013, while his last Rumble appearance was helping Roman Reigns in 2015. The Rock’s WrestleMania 37 status was just revealed.

Mick Foley first said, “22 YEARS AGO TODAY! I think @TheRock and I may have gone a little too far on this particular evening.”

The Rock then wrote in a statement, “For months this was such an elaborate and dare say, ‘nuanced’ storyline and build up to this hyper brutal ending. Two of the nicest men in pro wrestling doing the most savage and brutal things. That’s the smiling irony. That’s our DNA. Thank you Mick ‘for the house.'”

Rock also wrote on his social media, “Midnight weekend vibes doing my signature – icy and freezer chilled @teremana 🥃 and a great documentary.

If you haven’t seen it yet, check out ‘OPERATION ODESSA’ on Netflix. Insane real life crime tale of some guys ‘doing business’ out of Miami.

I lived in Miami since I was 18, and every once in a while we’d here murmurs of wild, cowboy shit going down in the 305 and this story is one for the ages. It also helps the guys in this doc have big, entertaining, ballsy personalities.

That life always has a way of coming full circle. Great watch, put your feet up and enjoy your weekend.”
