WCW Star Daffney Has Reportedly Passed Away

WrestlingNews.co is reporting that Daffney Unger’s mother has stated that the former WCW and TNA star has passed away after a sad video concerned fans and friends last night.

TMZ reported this morning that police were searching for Daffney, “7:25 AM PT — Cops in Gwinnett County tell TMZ Sports they’ve tried to locate Daffney — even showing up to one of her old addresses — but say they’ve yet to make contact with her.”

Renee Michelle wrote a few hours ago, “Daffney’s Family would greatly appreciate if you could please take the video down. They don’t want it out there in the public and to respect their wishes and privacy. Thank you.”

Mick Foley said last night, “If anyone has a way of reaching Daffney Unger, or knows her address, please help out. She’s in a bad personal place and is threatening to harm herself.

My phone call went straight to voicemail.” Daffney was one of WCW’s most charismatic female stars in its later days, with her storyline romance with David Flair captivating fans. She later had a run in TNA which included parodying Sarah Palin as ‘The Governor.’ Rest in peace Daffney, whose real name was Shannon Claire Spruill. She was 46.
