Backstage News on The Undertaker’s Health Post-Concussion and His Possible WWE Return

– We noted earlier this month via The Wrestling Observer that The Undertaker was still in rough shape after his WrestleMania XXX match against Brock Lesnar and that while Taker had been in the gym working out, he told some people that it wasn’t looking good for WrestleMania 31.

PWInsider confirms the report that Taker is still in bad shape and really banged up from suffering the concussion. Taker’s status for next year is still up in the air and there will be no confirmation on it and when he will return until later this year.

Someone needs to step in and make the decision for him. No, you CANNOT come back to wrestle.

  • D2K

That is not why the match sucked. That was a reason the match sucked WORSE. Taker’s physical limitations have been common knowledge for the past few years. Most people felt that him going into a match with Lesnar in the first place was a mistake because of his smash-mouth style. There was no set of circumstances where this ended well for him. The match was destined to be a clunker.

Pointless? Nobody wants to see him? You people make me laugh fans want him to retire lol yeah the dumb young people who dnt knw him

  • Rob ‘Richard Hammond’ Picken

Its pretty pointless anyway now they ended the streak

  • ddfindl

Yeah, no, I totally get why it sucked; I know he rattled early on in the match. It was horrible nonetheless.

  • Don Kim

After a career like no other, it will be sad if he stays in rough shape for the rest of his life.
He should retire. That’s what fans want.

  • Nicholas Giambattista

It why no matter what some of the people on the internet or the overwhelming crying over the streak ending it was the right move for the Undertaker. It really was bad the way it all ended but either he should have retire two years ago when he went 20-0 or it had to all come to and end. It nobody fault but it just the way the wrestling world really works. I don’t blame Brock Lasner for what happen the match started off very good and when Taker got that concussion what can you do didn’t even get a good send off. I don’t think Vince or the WWE should let him wrestle anymore even if he wants to because it over for Taker and it sad but all good things even the streak has got to come to and end.

  • Joe Sweat

I get what you’re saying and I, too, believe he should hang up the boots for good. However, I will defend that match’s quality. The issue was Taker got a concussion early on and was pretty much “not there” for the whole match. Lesnar had to guide him the whole way. Taker doesn’t even remember the majority of that match. That’s why the match sucked. An accident happened.

  • ddfindl

Yeah, not only did he lose but the match with Lesnar was HORRIBLE. He was in no condition to perform this year, much less next WM. I can’t imagine very many people having much interest in seeing him in the ring again.

  • what?

What’s the point ?The streak is over taker should just retire before something bad really happens and ends up in a wheelchair for the rest of his life
