Oscar de la Hoya ‘Warns’ Jake Paul In Video

With experience comes knowledge.

Ahead of his own return to the world of the sweet science against a novice boxer with a world-recognized name from success in the world of mixed martial arts in “The Phenom” Vitor Belfort, former multiple-division world boxing champion “The Golden Boy” Oscar de la Hoya offered some words of wisdom to “The Problem Child” Jake Paul ahead of his bout against “The Chosen One” Tyron Woodley.

During a recent promotional interview for his August 29 pay-per-view showdown against the former UFC Welterweight Champion on The Cruz Show on REAL 92.3 LA, Paul revealed some advice he received from de la Hoya prior to his Triller exhibition bout against MMA star Ben Askren back in April.

“Oscar came into my locker room before my last fight [and] gave me some advice,” Paul stated while on the air with the Los Angeles, California-based radio program. “Oscar is one of my inspirations, I’ve studied his film a lot.”

Paul continued, “He said the scared fighter never wins. Just go out there and kill him.”

Additionally, Oscar told Jake of Woodley in a call during the interview, “He throws nothing but arm punches, bro.”

He added, “Especially since he’s training with [Floyd] Mayweather. They don’t like the jab.”
