Carmella on the Lesnar-Orton SummerSlam Finish, Nikki Bella, Being Without Enzo and Cass

WWE’s Carmella was recently interviewed by DC 101, and you can check out the highlights here:

On being without Enzo and Cass:

“It was bittersweet because I love my boys, and being with them was such a blast, we had so much fun for a few years. But I’m ready to be on my own and breakout. I was a cheerleader in the NBA and NFL, on the sidelines, I’ve done that. I’m ready for it to be all about me, in the ring. I’ve been in NXT for almost three years, I trained my butt off to not just be on the sidelines. Now it’s a great opportunity for me to be in the ring, hone my craft and do my thing!”

On her rivalry with Nikki Bella:

“I’m making it all about me. Nikki Bella is back and that didn’t sit well with me. I think it’s time for her to let some of the new girls come in here and do our thing. September 12th is the night after Backlash and I’m thinking I’m coming to Fairfax with the new Smackdown Live Women’s Championship.”

On the feeling backstage after seeing the Randy Orton vs Brock Lesnar finish at SummerSlam:

“Everyone was kind of speechless. Brock Lesnar is a beast, he really is. But Randy Orton is very intense too, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens next.”

On the competition between RAW and SmackDown:

“I don’t think any of us would be in this job if we didn’t love competition and the fight and have the desire to be on top. It’s like this extra drive inside of you to want to get your spot and of course we want our show to be better than RAW, so no matter what we’re all going to step up our game and be the best!”
