- It sounds like there may be a dance-off at Sunday’s WWE Battleground pay-per-view. Fandango tweeted on Thursday:

“I heard there may be a #DanceOff at #WWEBattleground. Dance with me?”

– As noted earlier this week, Dustin “Goldust” Rhodes is now working for WWE on a short-term contract. The feeling within WWE is that he will be around through WrestleMania XXX. It’s possible they may finally do the Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust match that both sides have wanted to do for at least two years now.

i am an old school fan myself, and the good ole days of great tag teams and it having meaning have been gone for many years, back then we had the stiener brothers,LOD,ect..there are no true tag teams anymore

  • Johhny

    so do you

  • Johhny

He is not known as anything else really, yeah sure we all know his real name but goldust is the only thing that has ever really gotten him over, although i was a fan of him in wcw as himself i ll always remeber goldust more

I suppose … I just remember Dustin being a pretty cool badass back in the WCW days. I was just thinking that a Cody/Dustin tag team would be cool. But then again, I’ve been watching pro-wrestling for a pretty long time and I miss the days when there were some great tag teams and the tag team title actually meant something – relatively speaking.

That’s how wwe likes to do things sometimes, wait till an idea or an angle has cooled down and then realize how good it is after the prime time was to do it, and then go with it and say “see we told you it wouldn’t get over” Same happened with punk in 2011 he was super over and before they really went with him, they first put him threw the ringer with Nash and HHH and killed off a good portion of his momentum, he was still way over but nowhere near what it could and should have been had they just stuck with him as the guy right after he won at MITB.

The whole “gay” Goldust gimmick is the only one that’s ever gotten over, you think vince is going to bring back Dustin Rhodes? Nobody would care and it would draw zero interest from fans. And Dustin has been quoted many times about how proud he is of that gimmick and that he has done his best work as Goldust.

  • TOmC

Dustin Rhodes needs to DROP the whole gay Goldust Gimmick and just be DUSTIN RHODES

  • Pat

i did not say watch it live, i said DOWNLOAD it, please read before you open your mouth and say stupid things
there are things called torrents, and people upload the ppv’s after they have aired and people download them

  • MrDr3w

People, it’s not 1996 anymore. Goldust sucks.

  • Nicholas Giambattista

Why not I smell a little of a heel turn coming between Cody and Goldust maybe not Sunday but then again maybe Sunday. It could very well happen at Wrestlmania a match between Cody vs Goldust.

  • JohnCena33

Oh streaming sites, still no name to the site that lets you watch it for free

  • sandman14769

    they are called streaming sites

  • JohnCena33

No site allows you to watch it free. Give me a name the site, oh yeah there isnt one.

  • JohnCena33

Ha ha no. It costs $45 not 75, wow.

  • Pat

thats why you download it the next day and watch it for free :)

  • StocktonJoe

Between what WWE charges plus California taxes plus local taxes and franchise fees, it costs around $75.00us to pay a pay per view. And WWE thinks I’m gonna waste my money on a gimmick that doesn’t even work to pad RAW to 3 hours????? To quote DB, NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

  • http://retrorevelations.blogspot.com/ Jesse Moak

the time to do Goldust vs. Cody would have been like two years ago when Cody was a hot heel. Not now when it would have zero real meaning anymore……
