Daniel Bryan to Appear on Monday Night RAW

The WWE issued the following statement announcing that SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan will be appearing on next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW:

The lead-up to the anticipated SummerSlam clash between Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar pitted Raw and SmackDown Live against each other in a whole new way this past week. After The Viper invaded Monday night’s hottest show to attack The Beast, Lesnar retaliated against WWE’s Apex Predator the following night and put Team Blue on notice. Now, Raw General Manager Mick Foley has invited SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan to Monday night’s hottest show for what’s sure to be an eventful meeting. Will the competition between Team Red and Team Blue stay friendly for long?

lets wait for talents to “”cross-over” after the draft… like everyone already said, brock vs orton was book BEFORE the draft… if an angle happens to involve one Raw and one SD superstar in the near future (booked AFTER the draft)… then we can complain together.. but today is pointless

My argument is that if you were drafted to Smackdown, stay on Smackdown. If you were drafted to RAW, stay on Raw. If you’re gonna have talents cross over to other brands whenever they want, then the whole draft is pointless. I’m not saying that’ll happen, but with the way things are going right now, that’s how it’s looking.

Why bring up Battleground? Battleground was booked, the draft was on Tuesday Smackdown live, Battleground was Sunday and the first respective day of brand extention was Monday night Raw. So your arguement is pointless

The WHC match at Battleground was booked before the draft too, but you don’t see Roman Reigns going after Ambrose and the title on Smackdown. Why? Because they’re on separate shows. You don’t see Zack Ryder going after Rusev still. Why? Because they’re on delegate shows.

Whether you wanna realize it or not, this match is huge. It’s nearly fifteen years in the making. They both came up from developmental together. Both were studs in their day, and they both can still go. The story writes itself. You don’t need face to face interaction each week to sell the match.

In fact, just about every match of Lesnar’s has been built up with little to no face to face interaction between the opposing superstars–and they have all been awesome. Plus, it’s SummerSlam. The tickets are already sold. The network subscriptions are already paid for.

Not to mention, every time they’ve done an ‘invasion’ angle, it’s always been stupid. Bottom line, if you’re gonna split up the roster, actually follow through and keep it split, or else the whole thing was for naught.

This match was booked before the draft

The Brand Extension has always had cross-play. Just because they have separate brands doesn’t mean they can’t or don’t interact with each other.

I hate to say it, but I think that last week was the beginning of the end of the Brand Extendion. It took less than two weeks for a talent from one show to appear on the other show, and now a week later, it’s continuing with Bryan (Smackdown) appearing on RAW. I’m fearing for the future.
