Dolph Ziggler Possibly Headed Out of WWE According to Ric Flair

On the latest edition of Ric Flair’s podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer┬ádiscussed Dolph Ziggler’s WWE future and shared a rumor he had heard about his future in the company.

Flair revealed that Ziggler’s WWE contract is due to expire after No Mercy so the career on the line match against The Miz may be his last match in the company. The Nature Boy also revealed that WWE reportedly has a position for Ziggler behind the scenes if he wants it.

It was only a year ago that we were told by the dirt sheets that Dolph was leaving WWE when his contract was up, and Dolph re-signed. And here we are a year later with his contract coming up being told the same thing. If it happens it happens, but I will take this story with a pinch of salt.

Before Dolph even opened his mouth on that Smackdown promo, I KNEW it was going to be one of those “leave the WWE” matches. Thing is, I’m 99% sure Dolph’s out – underutilized, underappreciated, and just generally screwed over ever since a concussion cost him the WORLD TITLE several years ago. Time to go and reassess, if for no other reason than his since of self.

It might be an obvious play by Flair in part by WWE to keep the audience in suspense. I take it with a grain of salt.

He may not WANT to re-sign, and who can blame him? He could go to Japan and wrestle if he wants. He could teach if he wants. He could make a ton of money teaching at Kent State. He could be a political analyst on FOX News. He has more than enough options out there for him. That’s probably why he’s not sweating the putrid handling of his push. He’s doing his job like a professional, and when his contract is over, buh-bye.

  • Kayfabe_Is_Dead

That means nothing. He could easily sign a new contract next year….

  • Kristopher Robinson

    Agreed!

  • The Killswitch

That’s a damn shame. Underutilized til the bitter end, if true.
