This past Monday on Monday Night Mayhem, Eric Bischoff expressed his disappointment with TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle’s arrest over the weekend in Virginia on charges of driving under the influence.

“Quite disappointed, for obvious reasons, both on a business level for the company. I’m very disappointed and embarrassed. I’m very disappointed and embarrassed for Kurt,” Bischoff said.

“The fact that he is even in this situation, regardless of whether he was guilty, not guilty, had an excuse, didn’t have an excuse. You just can’t keep putting yourself in situations like this when you’re a pro because you’re jeopardizing not only your own personal life. There are a lot of people in the entire company right now that is dependent on you and betting on you and investing in you. And to put yourself in this position, not once, but twice, or more, is disturbing to me.

“I’m hoping that we find out that it’s not what we read, and it’s not what we think, and that perhaps we’re all jumping to conclusions. But if it’s not the case, then I think Kurt Angle’s got some soul searching to do and TNA’s got some decisions to make. But clearly it’s a very, very unfortunate situation.”

    So I guess it is not disturbing to Bischoff that Kurt put innocent people on the roads lives in jepoardy? Just that he damaged his personal life and caused bad press for the company?

    @Nicholas

    I agree. Also im not sure but i think the reason why Vince let Kurt Angle go because he was on painkillers a lot and wanted him to take a break and rest.

    TNA should have fired a lot of these guys a long time ago. I just feel that if you do the crime an not willing the change you should be gone. I tell you Vince Mac would have no problem getting rid of Kurt Angle and the Hardy because these guys just don’t get it. An Kurt Angle really disappoint me I though this guy really live the 3 I’s but he don’t. I remember when he was release how be blame the WWE for what happen when he was let go an a lot of people believe his story. But now I am not so sure anymore. That maybe it was the WWE who wanted to get Kurt Angle help an Angle all along was making WWE look like the bad guys I mean it wouldn’t be the first time a junky wrestler blame the WWE for there own undoing. I mean the Hardy been doing that for a while. Heck a lot of the internet fans want to blame the WWE for the junkies. But to me it up to one own personal choice. If they want help they can get it rather if it Angle or the Hardy all they have to do is just ask. Vince Mac would do it in the heart beat.

    I was watching the Randy Orton DVD a perfect example. About a guy with gifted talent who almost threw it all away. It was Randy Orton that turn his own life around. I wish any wrestler would look at Randy Orton at a perfect example of somebody that turn his own life around an how it was up to Randy Orton not anybody else. I wish Kurt Angle a wrestler who I once though was one of the best would listen in between the line. An just feel that Kurt Angle can get back to that level but the window is slowly closing for the WWE and soon TNA. Just get help Angle an become the respectful wrestler once again. I don’t care if it WWE or TNA that help you out but do it for yourself.

    I am just wondering hate to say this who is going to be first an you know what I mean. Who is going to be first to wind up hate to say it dead. Either it Jeff, Matt or Kurt Angle because you can only expect death for so long. An also hate to say it won’t feel sorry for either one because I feel they all had there chance. I know that is hard to say but feel like what is left for any of those 3.

    The decline of TNA started 5 years ago with the re-hiring of Vince Russo.

    I’m impressed that Bbischoff is thinking rationally and not simply turning a blind eye or randomly sticking by their champ. This is a positive step at least for TNA – question is: do they release him? I say yes – no way WWe would re-hire him.

    Damn just put the title on Sting and leave it at least he never does this sort of crap!!

  • Nick Is Awsome

    i agree with you venom they fired hardy’s dumb ass it sets a bad example to the guys in the company that were on matt hardy’s level you can be fired for messing up but if you are on angles or jeff hardy’s level it says go do what ever you want and you have job stability even getting loaded and fucking up a main event of a ppv.

    And Bischoff Im disappointed with you and hogan and the decline you have put on tna

    Strip him from the title. Even Bischoff knows thats the right choice.
