Former Wrestler Buck Zumhofe Sentenced to More Than 25 Years In Prison on Sex Charges

– Former AWA wrestler Eugene “Buck” Zumhofe was sentenced to 310 months in prison this week on first-degree and third-degree counts of criminal sexual conduct for molesting his daughter for years, beginning when she was 15 years old.

Zumhofe’s lawyer requested a stay in prison time and probation so he could receive treatment and counseling but that was denied by the judge. Zumhofe must spend a minimum of 17 years in prison before he’s eligible for release. Zumhofe was also ordered to serve 10 years of post-release probation and register as a sex offender. Assistant County Attorney Aaron Welch asked the judge to double Zumhofe’s sentence to over 51 years due to his previous criminal sexual conduct and the fact that his crime was against a family member. The judge denied that also.

A family member WAS the victim.

Most cases have a max and minimum sentence. He has a max term of 25-27 years, but if the courts deem him worthy, he could get parole in 17 years and serve the rest of his sentence on probation. Some times they consult the family of the victims and based on that he could not get parole. So he may very well be in prison for the max sentence depending on how many times he is denied parole.

Sentenced to more that 25 years in prison? Says in the article he must serve 17 years before he is eligible for release, and then will have 10 years being on probation. At no point does it say more than 25 years in prison because last time I looked, 17 is less than 25.
