Former WEC fighter Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone has recently made it clear on who he would like his opponent to be for his debut bout in the UFC, as his former league WEC has merged with the top MMA organazation;
“Cole Miller is the guy I’m chasing down,” states Cerrone. “That’s the fight I want. It’s a fight I’ve wanted since as long as I can remember.”
The Texas native Muay Thai fighter, Cerrone, has been hoping for this bout since Miller beat his good friend Leonard Garcia over three and a half years ago at UFC Fight Night 11. Now it seems he may finally get his opportunity. Granted three plus years is a long time to hold a grudge, it does seem to be a decent match-up. Both men are rangy lightweights with dynamic submission abilities.
Known as the more superior striker of the two, Cerrone will definitely get the competition he is hoping for with such an aggressive fighter as Miller.
Fans will be waiting in anticipation to see if this match is made a reality by the UFC, giving Cerrone the chance to finally settle the score and avenge his teammate/friend’s prior loss.
