Jerry Lawler Suspended by WWE after Domestic Assault/Bodily Harm

In some breaking news, announcer Jerry “The King” Lawler has been suspended by WWE after being involved in an altercation with 27-year-old fiancee Lauryn McBride.

Lawler is reported to have hit McBridge in the head, pushed her against a stove and then told her to kill herself with an unloaded pistol.

The WWE Hall of Famer tells a different story however, reporting that McBride was very drunk, scratched him in the face and then kicked him in the crotch.

Below is the statement from WWE:

Jerry Lawler arrested, suspended

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Jerry Lawler was arrested at his home Friday morning by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office in Memphis, Tenn.

According to a police report, Lawler and his girlfriend, Lauryn McBride, were taken into custody and booked on alleged charges of domestic assault—bodily harm, a misdemeanor.
