Kurt Angle Appears at Amateur Wrestling Event

ImpactWrestling.com has posted the following:

On Wednesday Olympic Gold Medalist, multi-time World Heavyweight Champion and TNA IMPACT WRESTLING superstar Kurt Angle attended “The Rumble On The Rails” – USA vs. IRAN vs. RUSSIA – at Grand Central Terminal in New York City. The event aired on NBC Sports Network, and Angle was shown in attendance during ESPN coverage.

Three of the world’s top powers came together in solidarity in this historic wrestling event. Each year, the United States, Iran and Russia are among the world’s best wrestling nations. Since the IOC Executive Board recommendation that wrestling not be a core sport at the 2020 Olympic Games, these three nations have worked closely together to help support Olympic wrestling.

TNA’s Television Production team was on hand to film Kurt’s involvement at the historic competition. We will post exclusive footage soon on the website!

You can check out photos of Kurt at the event on impactwrestling.com, including: Kurt’s arrival at Grand Central Station, Kurt interviewing teenagers from the “Beat The Streets” amateur wrestling program, his introduction to the crowd and live TV audience, being interviewed by the US Team’s documentary producer, plus a photo with ESPN’s Mike Golic from “Mike and Mike in the Morning”
