– WWE developmental star Richie Steamboat thanked fans on his Twitter this week for their thoughts & prayers for his father, Ricky. Richie wrote on Thursday that the issues with his dad were worse than expected but it could be worse. Richie later wrote that Ricky was “fine right now.”
All reports indicate that Steamboat suffered a brain aneurysm but Jim Ross said on his Twitter that wasn’t the case. Steamboat underwent a surgical procedure on Thursday to determine the severity of the aneurysm. There is no timetable on when he will be released from the hospital and apparently it’s going to be a long process.
Steamboat was in Tampa, Florida on Wednesday for some work with WWE developmental. He was rushed to the hospital that evening after experiencing severe pain in his neck and shoulders.
