Mick Foley Reveals Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte to Main Event Hell In A Cell

Sasha Banks-Charlotte

WWE Hall Of Famer and Monday Night RAW General Manager took to his official Facebook page to announce that Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte inside Hell In A Cell for the RAW Women’s Championship will main event the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view (PPV):

CHILLS
Forget for a moment about Stephanie McMahon’s jumping high-five or my awkward attempt to hug the #RAW Comissioner. The biggest moment of the night for us came when the #WWE cameras were off, and Stephanie and I just looked at the #HIAC poster, realizing that for #WomensWrestling, history is upon us – as Sasha Banks and Charlotte will main event the #HIAC PPV. I am so happy for Sasha, for Charlotte, for all the women who paved the way, and all those who aspire to follow in their footsteps. It is no exaggeration to say that looking at that poster gave me chills…and they were multiplying.

It didn’t work at SummerSlam. Sasha got injured and had to drop the title. It doesn’t work most of the time on RAW. They generally have very sloppy matches, with one or two big spots to pull people’s attention away from all the botches. This match will be no different, people will get bored, and people will turn against the two, just like with Cena, just like with Reigns. The difference is, Cena and Reigns put on solid performances EVERY time they get in the ring. Sasha and Charlotte simply don’t. Plain and simple.

I not like it one of WWE major PPV. They are seeing if this works. If not they will dial it back.

  • Nicholas2778

This also shows me WWE could careless about there ratings as the first WWE women championship match did not do well. But the performance was awesome. The WWE is taking a chance giving the Women division as strong as it ever been.

    So cool :]

I have no problem with it, Wrestlemania this year showed how strong the women’s division really is and it literally was the best match on the card. I hope this steals the show.

  • Armitage Soulshroude

    That’s all you got? HA!!

  • Nicholas2778

Give up for the WWE trying new things for a change. If you don’t like it don’t watch it. But I enjoy the area WWE going with since the brand split.

  • MrDr3w

I also feel like it’s going to be a very lackluster, careful, maybe even sloppy, match. These two are way too valuable to their division to do all these high-flying, death-defying, risk-taking, “HOLY $#&@!” spots, that HIAC is known for.

Do they deserve to be showcased on the card? Of course. Do they deserve to be in a HIAC match? Ehhhh…I guess. Do they deserve to be in a MAIN EVENT HIAC match? Noooooooo!!!

  • D2K

    I agree.

  • D2K

That said, this IS that match everyone is coming to see on the PPV though. So in that regard it makes sense for it to be the go-home match.

Now they are force feeding us. Not only that the pressure on these two is beyond immense now. First HIAC now they main event. We all love the women’s division and the progress being made but relax.

    Stfu Vince Russo.

I think the guy has a point. This is a little bit too much, too fast IMO. It’s great that the women are finally getting boosted, but at what point does this “Women’s Revolution” run out of steam? I mean, there’s what, fourteen girls on the roster? Also, only about half of them are utilized regularly on television. And also, only about half of THOSE women are actually enjoyable to watch in the ring (75% of the time). I feel like they’re setting a precedent that they may not be able to live up to in the future.

Uh… what? You agree with that sh*t? The only matches I want to see are actual wrestlers, not women who showboat that they “think” they can wrestle…

  • wwemrpeeps85

Omg yes finally woman are getting what they deserve
