    Punk has always worked better as a heel in my opinion

  • Ricardo

    There we go with the creative team. That’s a great argument because it can be used about anyone. Do people hate Cena? Say that “they” should turn him heel. Do people think Mason Ryan is stiff? Say it’s creative that doesn’t book him right. Is Mark Henry fat? No, it’s the WWE that books him as being fat. Are people beginning to realize Punk doesn’t deserve the blind adoration of online marks? No problem, just reply that WWE “only” gets 4M viewers, if it was an indy creative team they would know what to do with Punk. Pathetic.

    @Cakes – you just said it all. Punk is not bad. He’s just not that good. And I don’t think it’s simply a matter of the feuds he goes into. He just exploded once and then went stale. How many more times do we have to hear about icecream bars?

  • CM Mark

    @Bill
    Couldn’t have said it better myself.

    @Misfit
    Who are you and what have you done with misfit?

  • Bill

    Punk = ratings. Punk + WWE booking/creative = not so much.

  • Devil_Rising

    hello, im your average wwe fan, i dont watch it to like, enjoy or care for it, but instead just so i can sit online and moan incoherently, coherent rather than watch something i actually like, will enjoy and take pleasure from.

  • poko

    While I don’t think Punk has anywhere near the draw of Cena, we do need to be fair. Who has Punk had a feud with since his push, besides Cena, that has any kind of main event credibility or marketability to them at all? Del Rio? Ziggler? Johnny Ace? He never even fought Nash.

    Despite having the belt, and being given a microphone far too often, Punk really hasn’t had much force behind his push in terms of his opponents. Punk’s reign really shouldn’t be judged until now, when he’s finally being given a credible challenge.

  • BestInTheWorld

    If anything this shows that nobody = ratings right now. I guess you could make the case for HHH and HBK saving a potentially horrendous rating from occurring.

    3.14 isn’t something to shout home about for the overrun.

  • Billy Zane

    I think that breakdown just proved Cena doesn’t = ratings.

  • me

    i disagree with the “cena = ratings” sentiment, however i do agree with the “cm punk does not = ratings” sentiment (i like punk, but he’s not the ratings puller everyone thinks he is) also the other big issue is that he was against miz.

    miz deffinantly does not = ratings.

  • misfit del rio

    @ highvoltage, whoa watch what you say about punk, you’ll upset cm marky mark, and you won’t like it when he’s upset

  • cakes

    completely agree with HighVoltage. I’ve always been a fan of CM Punk as a wrestler and a character…but the true is, he just doesnt have that star power that Rock, Stone Cold, HBK, Cena, or even Orton. His promo skills are only extraordinary when he breaks the 4th wall or he’s talking about someone who has a lot of backstage drama about them. I really think this push went to his head and he thought he was this star that could stay hot forever, but really, his momentum has been fading. This feud with Jericho will be stellar and Punk will shine, but after that…he may continue to cool down

  • venom

    This will add more heat to The Miz.

  • HighVoltage101

    Like it or not, Cena = ratings. Punk = well the ratings speak for themselves.

  • Effmenow

    From now on everytime The Miz is in the ring people must people must chant………*little frat boy*.

    Make this happen on Elimination Chamber.
