Reason Vince McMahon missed Extreme Rules

Vince McMahon

We noted before how Vince McMahon was not present for the Extreme Rules PPV and his absence surprised many fans as it’s not usual for the Boss to miss a PPV event.

While the reports also revealed that Triple H and Billy Kidman took over the duties of running the event when Vince was not there, it said nothing about the reason behind it.

Now Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shed some light on the situation and it seems like these change of things was nothing out of usual.

According to the Newsletter, while it’s not confirmed if he was talking to the officials during the PPV, McMahon always takes a week off in mid-July and the Boss has been doing so for years.

Though it’s still interesting that Mr. McMahon was not there for the reinstation of Hulk Hogan and the backstage speech he gave to the talents and other personals.

Not really. Why does he have to be there?
Maybe just maybe this time off was booked well in advance of the Hogan deal, and maybe he had very little to do with the deal anyway. Hogan and Vince have not had the greatest relationship for a very long time.
