For the first time since September’s ALL STAR EXTRAVAGANZA VII pay per view, the stars of Ring of Honor return to San Antonio’s Shrine Auditorium Saturday April 23 for a night of the Best Wrestling on the Planet! The fast-paced, hard-hitting ROH action seen locally every Saturday morning at 11:00 AM on KABB Fox 29 and Sunday nights at 9:00 PM on KMYS CW 35 returns to the Lone Star State as part of the Conquest Tour!
There is nothing like seeing Ring of Honor LIVE and ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness ALWAYS delivers when signing matches for San Antonio. McGuinness has signed a first-time singles bout between one of ROH’s hottest stars and a tag team star looking to break out in singles competition for April 23!
BOBBY FISH vs. KENNY KING
At Supercard of Honor Weekend, BOBBY FISH settled a score once and for all with “Mr. ROH” Roderick Strong by defeating the former ROH Triple Crown champion in convincing fashion in a 2 out of 3 Falls match. Fish also defeated a sure-fire, first ballot ROH Hall of Famer “Almighty” Christopher Daniels with the Fish Hook. To say Bobby Fish had a great weekend and established himself firmly as not only as former three-time ROH World Tag Team champion but also a top singles star in ROH would certainly be an understatement.
For Kenny King, SCOH Weekend is best forgotten as quickly as possible King was on the losing end of an eight-man tag on Night 1 and watched his All Night Express partner Rhett Titus get pinned on Night 2. With the opportunity to wrestle in singles competition available for King in front of him, King will challenge the scorching hot Bobby Fish deep in the heart of Texas!
The two will meet for the very first time in one-on-one competition at the Shrine Auditorium with a chance for King to instantly establish himself as a singles standout in ROH! Fish did not factor into the decision in the ROH World Television Championship triple-threat in Las Vegas at 14th Anniversary and believes that, with his recent success, he is the rightful number one challenger to Tomohiro Ishii’s World Television title. A win for Fish would cement his spot as the number one contender while a win for King would instantly put him just a few spots away!
