SmackDown reaches new heights of low attendance at WWE shows

WWE SmackDown

While the WWE shows from past few weeks have been suffering from poor attendance, this week’s episode of SmackDown Live took it to new heights.

As noted by several fans, more than 50% of the seats in the arena were empty and almost the entire deck on the hard cam side was tarped off. Below are some of the photos of the empty seats posted by fans in attendance:

It’s worth mentioning here that Raw also suffered the same fate as there were many empty seats at the show as well. Below is a photo showcasing the poor crowd at Raw this week:

There are lots of speculations on why the company is suffering from such low attendance but overall it can be blamed on the misuse of top stars and boring storylines

Smackdown I do agree has a few problems but not sure about ticket prices. But Raw has been very good the last few months.
Smackdown just getting interesting with the Kevin Owens and Shane storyline. Also Jinder Mahul is a very boring champion. Smackdown needs a better world champion.

Man that all Fake photos if you ever been to a WWE live show they always have a lot of seats on Smackdown and Raw block off. We’re are the numbers to back up the claims.

They need to do something. All the big names are gone from Smackdown.

Must have been hard to cut that promo looking at nothing.

WWE needs to go back to smaller venues, don’t care if the attendance issues is be caused by Tickets. big arenas is a big problem with wrestling. big arenas need to be only used for PPVs and TV can be aired live from smaller arenas and venues like Full Sail University, 2300 Arena, Manhattan Cener’s Grand and Hammerstein Ballrooms, Center Stage in Atlanta, and any other small venue that’s hosted ROH or TNA/GFW/Impact Wrestling in the past 5 years.

WWE is coming for a house show in my city, and tickets are $100+. No wonder seats are empty. Get serious WWE! You’re not Paul McCartney.

Yup, Roman Reigns is selling tickets that Cena could not sell for the last five years … what a time to come up with a line like that.
