Today’s WWE Superstars Matches, New Name & More for Extreme Reunion, Jim Ross

– The Extreme Reunion promotion is now known as Extreme Rising.

Their New York City debut will take place on June 29th in Corona, Queens at the Elmcor Youth & Adult Activities Center. Tickets go on sale this Monday. Matches announced for the NYC show include Matt Hardy vs. Jerry Lynn, Devon Storm vs. Homicide, Luke Hawx vs. Stevie Richards, Pesadilla vs. Bestia 666, BLK OUT vs. The Dramatics plus appearances by The FBI, CW Anderson, The Blue Meanie, Balls Mahoney and Pitbull Gary Wolfe.

Extreme Rising will also run on June 30th at The National Guard Armory in Philadelphia. Matches for that show include Jerry Lynn vs. Homicide, The Gangstas vs. BLK OUT, Stevie Richards vs. Luke Hawx plus the other talents from the NYC show.

– Matches for today’s WWE Superstars are Heath Slater vs. Zack Ryder, Tyson Kidd vs. Antonio Cesaro and WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston & R-Truth vs. JTG & Michael McGillicutty.

– Jim Ross revealed on Twitter that he finished his interview for the upcoming CM Punk DVD set this week.

    yeah i will say wwe waterdown version of ecw is what really kill ecw. also having vince as ecw champion was not cool at all. i say ecw should just be left alone. when it died in 2001 they should just left it rest in peace.

    oh lord, another ECW-esque ‘comeback’….at this point, it’s safe to say a lot of these “Originals” are just as responsible for tarnishing ECW’s legacy as much as the WWE’s watered-down version
