Triple H Speaks On The Brand Extension, Future Of Takeover Specials, Hideo Itami

Triple H took part in a conference call on Tuesday with media members to promote NXT Takeover: The End. Here are some of the highlights from the call:

 


 

Triple H thinks that the NXT roster will change due to the main roster brand extension, but isn’t worried about having a lack of talent in NXT. Triple H added that he is excited about the change and thinks it gives new talents opportunities to succeed.

When asked about the status of Eric Young and Bobby Roode in NXT, Triple H said he is working on their contracts and looks forward to working with them in the future. He added to stay tuned.

When asked about the name of the special (The End) and the future of the shows, Triple H said that “It has a lot of meaning, and I think you’ll see that tomorrow.”

Triple H noted that there will be a total of 180 NXT events in 2016 and that the brand could tour in Canada in the future.

Hideo Itami was asked about, and Triple H gave no timeline on his return but hopes that it’s soon.

Triple H confirmed that the steel cage match between Finn Balor and Samoa Joe at NXT Takeover will be the end of their feud.

Triple H talked about the upcoming cruiserweight tournament that will air on the WWE Network. Triple H said that the tournament is being presented more as a sport than other WWE tournaments in the past. Triple H added that there will be a lot of surprises and something we’ve never seen before.
