Triple H suffers injury at WWE Crown Jewel

D-Generation X reunited at WWE Crown Jewel to take on the Brothers of Destruction. This match marked the in-ring return of Shawn Michaels, who had stayed away from competition following his retirement eight years ago.

While DX was successful at Crown Jewel, Triple H wound up with a legitimate injury. The Game suffered a torn pectoral muscle during the match, and will now require surgery. Below is the WWE’s official statement on the matter.

During the epic showdown between D-Generation X and The Brothers of Destruction at WWE Crown Jewel, Triple H sustained what appears to be a torn pectoral muscle, WWE.com has learned.

As a result, The Game plans to return to the United States this week to undergo surgical repair.

It’s not known exactly when the injury took place, though some believe it happened when Triple H took a bump over the top rope early in the match.
