THQ’s studios, licenses and properties were sold to at least five different entities at the bankruptcy auction today.
Employees of THQ were sent an email informing them that if they were working on a property or for a studio that was not scheduled to be sold off this week, their employment with the company would be coming to an end.
As of this writing, there is no indication yet where the WWE license would end up as it was not one of the properties auctioned off today. Contractually, THQ held the rights to the license through 2017.
Work was already underway on WWE ’14 for release towards the end of 2013.
