WWE Attendance, WWE-UFC at Staples Center, Butch Reed’s Arrest

– The actual numbers for WWE’s SummerSlam pay-per-view at the Staples Center in Los Angeles were 14,205 fans in attendance for $1,135,590. The UFC event in the same building two weeks earlier did $1,044,453 with 10,151 paid fans and a total of 16,080 in attendance.

– Here are some other WWE attendance figures:

* RAW on August 24th in Cape Girardeau, MO drew 3,600 fans for $115,000
* RAW on August 25th in Peoria, IL drew 3,500 fans for $110,000
* SmackDown on August 25th in Sioux Falls, SD drew 3,500 fans for $110,000
* RAW on August 26th in Rockford, IL drew 3,500 fans for $92,000
* SmackDown on August 26th in Rochester, MN drew 3,000 fans for $95,000

– We noted over the weekend that former WWE and WCW star Butch Reed was being held on jail for a probation violation. The reason for that violation was a number of DWI charges.

    Interesting numbers for the UFC event and Summerslam. I wonder how much were all the tickets being sold for.

    UFC’s floor seats prices are quadruple WWE’s floorseats. And UFC does over 1million buys every ppv. The equivalent of a wrestlemania every ppv.

    So basically the Big E sells their tickets for an average price of $80 while UFC’s prices average at $102 and then they had to give away 6000 tickets to fill the place up. I thought UFC was more popular than that…
