WWE Expected to Offer Lesnar Another Deal, Heyman’s Future, HBK-RAW

– Shawn Michaels is expected to make more RAW appearances leading up to SummerSlam, where he will be in Triple H’s corner for the match against Brock Lesnar. Lesnar promised Michaels on RAW last night that the two would be seeing each other before SummerSlam.

– A lot of people within WWE are expecting the company to offer Brock Lesnar a second deal once his current one expires around WrestleMania 29 next year.

Regarding Paul Heyman’s future, it’s said that the angle with Stephanie McMahon at RAW 1000 had some real meaning behind it as Stephanie does not like Heyman personally. With that said, most expect Heyman to continue working with WWE in some capacity.

@The_electrifying_one – I’m fully aware of this interview. I’m not sure about you, but no matter what my family do would never criticize them in public. Don’t believe a word Shane says to be fair, he’s doing other things fair play to him.

Stephanie has a creative writng degree I believe, or something in that field and thats why we now have a soap opera with some wrestling instead of wrestling with a touch of soap opera. And a very bad soap opera at that.

Hey, I might think that Devil_Rising is prone to hyperbole and speculation, but at least he cares/ is knowledgeable enough about wrestling to consider his views then type them out. Unlike you. Your comment is the definition of asinine.

And no offense, but YOU might want to stop and think a bit. Do you honestly think that Shane McMahon is going to publicly say anything bad about the WWE, or his family? Of COURSE he isn’t. That doesn’t mean that his reasons for suddenly up and leaving don’t have anything to do with his dislike for the way things were/are going in the company. If you ask me, I do in fact still believe that Shane saw the writing on the wall, with all the power that Stephanie and her boy-toy HHH were building, and he realized that while HE should be the one to take over the business, as his father did before him, and as Vince Sr. did from HIS father Jess McMahon (wrestling and boxing promoter), that it would likely involve a power struggle in the family and in the company that he probably decided he didn’t want to happen.

That doesn’t mean that he probably didn’t still have a different vision for WWE than what it is now. That doesn’t mean that, deep down, Shane might still like to be in WWE and in charge. But he obviously chose to leave instead. From what I remember, Shane was always a bigger advocate of WRESTLING, of the smaller, more athletic wrestlers, of matches having that “big fight” atmosphere, etc. That doesn’t jive with what Vince/Steph/HHH wanted. Too bad too.

And as for Stephanie not liking Paul Heyman? Well, you know, that’s just sour grapes. Heyman may not be the greatest guy on the planet, but one thing you can’t knock him for is his wrestling mind. He understands, and I daresay probably has a bigger passion for Pro Wrestling than anyone in the McMahon family. They see it as a business. To Heyman, it was his ONLY passion, his life. He was obsessed with it. Maybe in a way it still is. I’d love to see him get the chance to run another promotion. Just this time, only let him have creative control, have someone else handle the business end of things. That’s the only thing that went wrong with ECW, was that he insisted on doing everything himself.

I’m not a fan of the “hardcore” style ECW had. But minus that, I’d rather see Heyman’s vision for wrestling, than Stephanie’s. BTW, Smackdown had the best matches and highest ratings it ever had, during that short span of time that Heyman was the head writer of it, back around 2003/2004.

@Jim you may want to refer to an interview with Shane about 4/5 years ago. He pretty much said He loves WWE but long term it didn’t fit his personal aspirations. Hence why he eventually stepped down to concentrate on other business ventures.

I’m guessing that is why Stephanie has gone further in the company because it was her sole focus. Instead of Shane who had other projects.

Shawn Michaels is expected to make more RAW appearances leading up to SummerSlam?

There’s only one more RAW before Summerslam…

  • Jim

Nepotism is ruining WWE and it starts with Daddys Little Girl, Stephanie. Shes even stepped over her brother to gain power and the product as a whole has taken a turn for the worse.

  • Whatever

Heyman is great, Brock is great (but still not 100% the Brock I want to see) and Stephanie is great too.
But well, if I have to choose I go for Heyman…

remember when smackdown was the best show wwe produced? and then they fired heyman and stephanie took control?

stephanie has no clue what she’s doing.

  • Tyler(:

The Stephanie McMahon thing actually had me on Heyman’s side, though I know he’s supposed to be the heel. What she said was a LOT more vicious than what he said, not to mention hypocritical. “Don’t mention my children but I’m going to talk about yours.”
