Welcome to the WWE Hell in a Cell pre-show live on the WWE Network as well as other platforms. Renee Young is our host with Corey Graves, Booker T, and Byron Saxton serving as our panel. They hype how devastating the Hell in a Cell structure does to one’s body.
A video package recapping the feud between Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns is shown. In that video package, highlights of Wyatt’s conversation with Michael Cole is shown. John Cena is interviewed backstage about his U.S Open Challenge tonight. He said that he will start tonight’s WWE HIAC PPV and bringing a fight to anyone who is answering the show.
Kevin Owens is shown cutting a promo outside of the Staples Center. He said that he doesn’t following sports, but he does now that the LA Lakers suck. He promised to make Ryback as big of a loser as the LA Lakers. A video package of the Seth Rollins – Kane feud is shown.
Kickoff Match: Neville, Cesaro, and Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev, King Barrett, and Sheamus.
Sheamus and Neville start things off. Neville with a kick to the back of the head of Sheamus. Cesaro was tagged in as Neville hit a dive off the middle rope. Cesaro hit a few uppercuts before tagging in Neville again. Rusev was also tagged and took out Neville. Ziggler was tagged in, who hit a series of slams and then an elbow drop. Ziggler hit the Fameasser for 2. Rusev caught Ziggler with a superkick for 2.
Back from break with the heels in control of Ziggler. They beat him down until he managed to counter a DDT and hit a DDT to Sheamus. Rusev was tagged in and attacked Ziggler from behind, but when he went for a splash in the corner, Ziggler moved. This led to Ziggler getting the hot tag to Cesaro, which resulted in him cleaning house on Barrett with a series of uppercuts. Cesaro with a big boot to Barrett. Cesaro with another then went to the top rope to take out Sheamus with a cannon ball. Cesaro hit Rusev with an uppercut then one to Sheamus. Back in the ring, he hit a crossbody to Barrett for 2. Cesaro went for the giant swing but had to back drop Rusev instead. Neville hit a dive over the top rope taking out Sheamus and Rusev. Barrett missed the Bull Hammer, Ziggler hit him with the superkick and Cesaro hit the giant swing followed by Neville being tagged in and hitting the Red Arrow for the win.
Winners: Neville, Cesaro, and Dolph Ziggler
The Dudley Boyz are shown in the back talking with Tom Phillips. They were taking fan questions via Twitter.
A video package recapping The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar feud is shown to end the pre-show.
The 2015 WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event begins with a series of video packages hyping all of the matches that will be taking place on tonight’s show. John Cena walks down to the ring to begin the action. Cena said that’ it’s time to get down to business right now. He said that he is still the man to beat and the U.S Open Challenge starts now. Zeb Colter rolls out on a scooter. He said that some people like him and some people do not. He said that it’s time for people from all different countries to come together and that it’s time for Cena to lose the U.S Title. Colter introduces him to his opponent. Alberto Del Rio!
U.S Open Challenge: John Cena © vs. Alberto Del Rio
They lock up, ADR attacked the arm and then drop kicked Cena out of the ring. Back in the ring, ADR went for a snap suplex, but was reversed and Cena hit one of his own. Cena went to the top rope, but Del Rio caught him with a kick. Del Rio went to the top rope and hit a double axe for 2. Del Rio went for the cross arm breaker, but Cena popped up and hit a clothesline. They trade right hands, Cena with a series of shoulder blocks and then a side slam. Cena hit the five knuckle shuffle then went for the AA, but blocked and ADR hit the back stabber followed by a superkick for the win!
Winner and new champ: Del Rio
The Authority is shown talking to Seth Rollins and Kane in the back. Rollins promised to put Kane out of a job later tonight.
Hell In A Cell Match: Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns
They start exchanging strikes to begin the match. Reigns tossed Wyatt to the floor then sent him into the steel structure. Wyatt grabbed a kendo stick and started attacking Reigns with it. This led to Wyatt to begin throwing Reigns into the steel. He then grabbed a steel chair and sat down on it so he could hit reigns with the kendo stick repeatedly. Wyatt then placed the chair within the structure as well as the kendo stick. He sent Reigns into the stick to break it in half. Reigns grabbed two kendo sticks and started beating Wyatt with them to get a nice pop. Reigns got two tables, he set one up on the outside and then hit Wyatt with a the Drive By. Reigns dragged Wyatt to the apron, but Wyatt fought back and choke slammed him through a table on the floor. Back in the ring, Wyatt covered Reigns for 2.
Wyatt would then hit a back splash for another near fall. Wyatt set up a table in the ring; he placed Reigns on the top rope, but Reigns fought back and hit a powerbomb to Wyatt through the table off the middle rope for a near fall. Reigns with a Superman Punch to Wyatt for a near a fall. Wyatt rolled to the apron; they battled until Reigns speared Wyatt off the apron and through a table that was set up outside the ring. Back in the ring, Reigns went for a spear, but Wyatt kicked him in the face and hit Sister Abigail for a near fall. Wyatt began to hit Reigns with the kendo sticks before setting them up in the corner. Wyatt went to throw Reigns face first into the sticks, but Reigns blocked and sent Wyatt into them. Reigns with a spear for the win.
Winner: Reigns.
Reigns celebrated in the ring after the match.
The New Day cuts a promo about how they thank all the fans for their thoughts and prayers after what happened to Xavier Woods on RAW (being put through a table).
Tag Team Title Match: New Day © vs. The Dudley Boyz
Kofi Kingston and Devon started the match off. Devon hit a series of slams before tagging in Bubba, which hit a shoulder block. Kingston hit a big boot then went to the top rope, but Bubba knocked him down. Bubba with a toss off the top rope to Kingston, who rolled out of the ring. Back in the ring, the Dudley’s hit a botched tag team move. Big E was tagged in and hit a shoulder block to Devon. They double team Devon until New Day went for the whatz up, and Devon fought his way out to tag in Bubba.
He would hit a series of moves to Kingston then landed some jabs to Big E. Bubba with a power slam then went for the whatz up, which they hit. Kingston took them out with a springboard dropkick. Kingston threw Bubba the trombone and fell and sold being hit with hit. The referee asked if he did it. The referee said no, he didn’t see it. Kingston argued with him as Bubba broke the trombone and then they hit a reverse 3-D to Kingston for a near fall. They went for the actual 3-D, but Big E hit Bubba in the back with another trombone. He took out Devon, then Kingston hit Trouble in Paradise for the win.
Winner and still champs: New Day.
Divas Title Match: Charlotte © vs. Nikki Bella.
They lock up, Charlotte connected with a neck breaker followed by a series of forearm strikes. Nikki fired back with one of her own. Nikki would then toss Charlotte over the barricade. They battled back into the ringside area where Nikki would ram Charlotte into the apron and into the barricade. Back in the ring, Nikki locked in a boston crab, but then let it go. Nikki started talking trash, which fired up Charlotte, who hit a series of chops. Nikki went for a flying kick but sold a knee injury when she missed. Charlotte with a neck breaker for a near fall. Charlotte went to the middle rope, but Nikki would punch her then went for a german suplex, but Charlotte reversed in midair to hit a neck breaker. Charlotte locked in the Figure Eight, but Nikki got to the bottom rope to break the hold. Nikki dumped Charlotte out of the ring. She would then hit an alabama slamma onto the apron. Back in the ring, Nikki would go for the Rack Attack, but Charlotte reversed and locked in the Figure Eight for the win.
Winner and still champ: Charlotte
Post-match, Paige and Becky Lynch ran down to the ring to celebrate with Charlotte.
WWE World Heavyweight Title Match: Seth Rollins © vs. Kane.
Dean Ambrose is shown talking to Roman Reigns in the back. Ambrose congratulated him and said that tonight they’re celebrating.
They exchange strikes to begin the match. Kane went to disassemble the announce table, but Rollins would go for a dive, but would be caught by Kane and slammed down to the ground. Back in the ring, Rollins sent Kane face first into the turnbuckle. Back in the ring, Rollins went for a dive, but ate a big right hand by Kane. However, Kane would go for a big boot, but missed and Rollins began to attack the legs of Kane. Rollins went to the top rope, Kane followed him up there and hit a suplex. Kane with a splash in the corner followed by a big boot for 2. Kane hit a clothesline off the top rope taking out the champion. Kane went for the chokeslam, but Rollins blocked and kicked him in the head. Rollins went for the pedigree but blocked and back dropped him. Kane with a chokeslam for a near fall. Kane went for a tombstone, but blocked, and Rollins rolled out of the ring. Kane hit a sidewalk slam to Rollins onto the announce table. Rollins got reversed a chokeslam and powerbomb Kane onto the announce table that did not break. Back in the ring, Rollins hit a springboard knee to the face of Kane. He would then hit another one then follow it up with a superkick and another one. Rollins went to the top rope, he would hit a frog splash for a near fall. Rollins is in shock. Kane grabbed Rollins by the throat, but Rollins kicked him and hit the Pedigree for for the win.
Winner and still champ: Rollins.
Intercontinental Title Match: Kevin Owens © vs. Ryback.
Ryback gets the upper hand on Owens in the early going. Owens would trip Ryback and land a series of right hands to the back of Ryback. Owens with a back splash for a near fall. Ryback fought back and hit a powerbomb for 2. Ryback went to the top rope, but Owens shoved him off, and Ryback went crashing to the floor. Back in the ring, Owens rolled him up for 2. Ryback reversed an irish whip and hit a clothesline. Ryback went for the Shell Shock but blocked. Owens threw him into the ropes and hit the pop-up powerbomb for the win.
Winner and still champ: Owens.
Main Event: The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar.
They come out swinging, Lesnar caught him with a knee then some uppercuts. Taker with an irish whip followed by a clothesline. Undertaker tossed lesnar out of the ring and to the floor. Lesnar sent Taker into the stel then went for the F5, but blocked. Taker sent Lesnar into the ring post face first. Lesnar is bloody. Back in the ring, Lesnar hit Taker with a spine buster. Lesnar hit Taker with a chair to his back. A WWE doctor comes into the ring and whips the blood off Lesnar. This led to Lesnar taking off the gloves and landing a chair shot to the shoulder of Taker. Lesnar went for a suplex, but Taker blocked, and hit one of his own. Taker is now bleeding from his head. Taker shoved the chair into the throat of Lesnar. Taker with a series of kicks in the corner, but missed a right hand and Lesnar hit a german suplex. Lesnar would hit another. Lesnar with a third then hit an F5, but Taker kicked out. Lesnar grabbed the steel steps and hit Taker in the head. Lesnar went to hit Taker again, but Taker moved. Taker kicked the steps into the face of lesnar. Taker locked in the Hells Gate, but Lesnar fought out with a series of right hands. Lesnar then ripped the canvas from the middle of the ring. Taker then hit a chokeslam onto the exposed ring. Taker went for a tombstone and hit it on the exposed ring for a near fall. Lesnar hit Taker with a low blow. Lesnar lifted up Taker and hit an F5 for the win.
Winner: Lesnar.
Heyman and Lesnar walk to the back as Taker lay in the ring. Taker sold the match as he had a hard time getting up. He got to his feet with the fans chanting “thank you Taker.” Taker went for his signature pose, but then Bray Wyatt walked out to the ring with the Wyatt Family. The Wyatts surround the ring, they then attack Taker. They then carry Taker out of the ring and to the back to close the show.
