Did WWE know about Roman Reigns’ Wellness Violation before the Money in the Bank PPV?

As previously noted, news broke earlier today (June 21, 2016) that former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns has been suspended for 30-days after violating the WWE’s wellness policy.

Now reports have begun to surface that the WWE might have in fact known about Reigns’ violation prior to his match with Seth Rollins at Sunday’s Money In The Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV).

Dave Meltzer noted on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that top WWE officials knew about Reigns’ wellness policy violation prior to his bout with Rollins at MITB, and also decided to go ahead with the Battleground main event announced on Monday’s RAW.

Reigns is still expected to compete at Battleground despite missing TV shows leading up to the event.
