This week’s show starts off with a look at last week’s Raw in Montreal when Sami Zayn answered the US Title Open Challenge. Tonight, Sami and Kevin Owens will be face to face in the ring as they prepare for their match next week at Takeover.
We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Rich Brennan, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton.
Match Number One: Solomon Crowe versus Baron Corbin
Crowe with a kick and punches as the bell rings. Corbin pushes Crowe away but Crowe with punches. Corbin with a clothesline that flips Crowe and he sends Crowe into the turnbuckles. Crowe is sent into the turnbuckles again. Corbin with a hard Irish whip. Corbin with a knee and he sends Crowe to the mat. Corbin stands on Crowe’s head and poses.
Crowe punches Corbin but Corbin gets Solomon on his shoulders. Crowe with a drop kick and knee in the corner. Corbin sends Crowe to the apron and Crowe with an enzuigiri but Corbin catches Crowe coming off the ropes and hits End of Days for the three count.
Winner: Baron Corbin
After the match, Rhyno’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Rhyno says you are the other unstoppable force everyone is talking about. Are we going to do this or what? Corbin says yes and he punches Rhyno. Rhyno and Corbin exchange punches and people separate Rhyno and Corbin. Corbin with a splash onto Rhyno and they get Corbin out of the ring but Rhyno GORES two people in the ring and everyone else decides it is better to leave.
Byron Saxton interviewed Finn Balor and he asked Finn if he wins at Takeover, does he want to face Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens. Finn wonders why Byron would say ‘if’. Finn says that he knows Tyler is dangerous. He is friends with Hideo but he will put that aside. He will win the Triple Threat Match.
He would like to face Sami Zayn because he thinks he is one of the best in the world. He has history with Kevin Owens and he wishes he would have beaten Kevin the last time they met. The Demon won’t be far behind whoever wins at Takeover.

We are back and Byron Saxton talked to Tyler Breeze about the Triple Threat Match. He is asked who would he want to face if he wins. Tyler says he, more than anyone else has proven if you put the flavor of the month like Finn Balor or Hideo Itami in front of him, he is going to be Number one Contender. It does not matter who he faces. He will be the NXT Champion and he will take the title back to Cuteville, where it belongs.
Before the match, Sasha says that since Becky got lucky last week, it does not mean she is better that her. Sasha is the NXT Women’s Champion. She made Becky and at Takeover, she will show everyone why she is the Boss of NXT. If you don’t believe her, just watch her.
Match Number Two: Sasha Banks versus KC Cassidy in a Non Title Match
Sasha with a knee to the midsection followed by a forearm. Sasha says something to KC and KC with an inside cradle for a near fall. Cassidy with a back slide for a near fall. Sasha gets to the floor and then returns to the ring. Cassidy with a cross body for a near fall. Sasha with a double leg take down and punches. Sasha sends KC into the turnbuckles and puts her in the ropes and connects with a knee drop to the midsection.
Sasha puts KC in the ropes and chokes her. Sasha with a lungblower into the Bank Statemetn and KC taps out.
Winner: Sasha Banks
Charlotte and Bayley are in the interview area with Devin Taylor and Devin asks Charlotte if she wants to respond to what Dana Brooke said about her last week. Charlotte says the only word she heard being said is jealousy because Tapout chose her. Bayley says Dana chose Charlotte while Emma took her shirt and head band to show a different side of her. Bayley says she has another side of her. Charlotte has a word for Bayley . . . Takeover. Bayley says they will be there and they hope that Emma and Dana are there.
Charlotte and Bayley woo as we go to commercial.
We see the Uhaa Nation video package. We see him and Solomon Crowe in the hallway and Solomon wishes him luck.
Match Number Three: Carmella versus Alexa Bliss
They lock up and Carmella pushes Alexa away. They lock up again and Alexa pushes Carmella away. They lock up again and Carmella with a forearm and she tries for a hip toss but Alexa blocks it and gets a near fall with a back slide. Alexa with a crucifix for a near fall. Carmella blocks a few suplex attempts and she hits a suplex of her own followed by knees to the head and she gets a near fall.
Carmella with a body scissors and she pulls Alexa’s hair.
Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy make their way to the ring while Carmella turns it into a Lotus Lock. Alexa leans back and gets a near fall. Alexa sends Carmella into the turnbuckles and connects with forearms. Alexa with a series of flying forearms. Carmella with an Irish whip but Alexa with an elbow and she goes to the turnbuckles for an arm drag. Alexa with a Glitz Flip for a near fall.
Alexa with a drop toe hold but Carmella with a head scissors submission. Carmella releases the hold when she sees Murphy and Blake. Alexa hits Carmella from behind and hits the Sparkle Splash for the three count.
Winner: Alexa Bliss
After the match, Blake and Murphy get into the ring and Blake tells Carmella they have been trying to tell her that when you hang out with two pieces of trash like Enzo and Cass, you are going to smell like garbage.
Carmella tells them to mark her words. Not only are her boys going to be at Takeover next week, they will be walking out as the next NXT Tag Team Champions. She tells the two pathetic pigs after they lose the titles, there is only one word to describe them and she spells it out for them.
We go to comments from Hideo Itami about the Triple Threat match about who he would like to face. Hideo says he will win and he wants to face Kevin Owens because he is a bad person and he does not have respect for anybody. He does not have respect for the NXT title. Hideo says he does not respect Owens.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Devin Taylor is with Dana Brooke and Emma. Devin mentions the challenge by Charlotte and Bayley. Emma says if Bayley wants her to slap more sense into her, she will do it. Dana says that Charlotte thinks she is jelly of her. She is not jealous. She is doing a favor by telling her that she will be passed by. Emma says they accept. Dana leaves, but comes back to pat Devin on the head.
Match Number Four: Adam Rose and Tyler Breeze versus Hideo Itami and Finn Balor
Itami and Rose start things off and they lock up. Rose with a chop but Itami with chops of his own. Itami with a kick and front face lock. Balor hesitates before tagging in. Itami with a snap mare and Balor with a slingshot boot for a near fall. Balor with a hammer lock but Rose with an elbow. Rose with a side head lock and Balor with a drop kick and clothesline that sends Rose over the top rope to the floor. Breeze wants to interfere but Balor sees him come in and he goes to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Rose with a sunset flip but Balor rolls through and hits a drop kick for a near fall. Balor kicks Rose but Rose with an Irish whip. Balor goes to the apron and he chops Rose and kicks Breeze. Rose sends Balor to the floor when Balor tries for a slingshot move. Breeze tags in and he punches Balor and sends him into the apron before they return to the ring.
Breeze with a leg drop for a near fall. Breeze kicks Balor in the corner and the referee pulls him out of the corner and Breeze yells at the referee. Rose tags in and he hits a suplex and gets a near fall. Breeze tags back in and he hits a thrust kick. Breeze kicks Balor and then hits a suplex and he floats over and gets a near fall.
Breeze with a reverse chin lock. Balor gets back to his feet and he connects with knees. Breeze runs Balor into the corner and Rose tags in and he connects with European uppercuts. Rose gets a near fall. Balor with forearms to Rose and elbows to Breeze. Balor with a boot to Rose but Rose with a spinebuster for a near fall. Rose with a Boston Crab on Balor.
Balor gets to the ropes and Rose reluctantly releases the hold. Breeze with a kick to Balor and Rose gets a near fall. Rose with a sleeper but Balor with a jawbreaker to escape. Rose with an elbow but Balor with a Pele kick and both men are down. Breeze tags in and so does Itami. Itami with clotheslines and a back leg trip. Itami with a running knee intot he corner and then he hits a Tornado move to the apron that drops Breeze on the top rope. Rose tries to interfere when Itami goes to the turnbuckles and Itami with a clothesline to Rose.
Itami with slaps and kicks to Breeze. Itami with the hesitation drop kick to Breeze in the corner and Balor tags himself in. Balor with a Slingblade to Rose followed by a running drop kick to Breeze. Itami tags himself in when Balor goes up top. Breeze with an inside cradle for the three count.
Winners: Adam Rose and Tyler Breeze
After the match, Breeze gives Itami a super kick and he gives Balor the Beauty Shot. Rose and Breeze celebrate in the ring and Breeze with a super kick to Rose.
We take a look at Sami Zayn’s comments after his match against John Cena last week on Raw.
Sami says coming out to the ring and being fired up, he felt something tweak in his shoulder. Thirty seconds into the match, he was given a back suplex and he thought the shoulder may have popped out. He does not know what the injury is, but we will find out. He has not been able to appreciate what happened, but it was in his home town and he had friends and families in the building. Maybe he will be able to think about what happened. It was surreal. He has to deal with mental and physical toughness to be able to beat Kevin whether you have an injury or not.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring.
Before Sami can say anything, Kevin Owens’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Sami tells Kevin they are not here to fight. Sami says he hurt his shoulder fighting John Cena, but this match is happening. The time for the mind games and attacks is behind them right now. All he wants to know is ‘Why?’ Everything you are saying about doing it for your family, there is a bit of truth to it, but he does not buy it. Why?
Sami wants to know if it is jealousy? Is it simple jealousy because he got here first? Do you think if he didn’t pave the way for guys like us, you wouldn’t be here? It is worse than that? Is it more personal than that?
Sami asks if this is about your son. Sami says he thought it was cute that his son would rather wear a Sami Zayn shirt than a KO shirt. Is it because he runs around the house in a Sami Zayn wrist band?
Kevin holds up the mic but then he puts it down and walks out of the ring.
Sami asks if that is it. After all this time, you have nothing to say?
Kevin tells Sami, everything you said is completely irrelevant. He knows the truth. Kevin says he won the title and Sami said he went home to clear his head. Kevin says it was because you were hurt and you are still hurt. Kevin says he is the one who hurt Sami. He knows what the injury is and how he hurt you. At Takeover, he is going to do it again. This time, you’re not coming back.
Kevin walks to the back and we go to credits.
