WWE RAW Results – October 26th, 2009

– Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up with a video package from last night’s Bragging Rights pay-per-view. The WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & Chris Jericho make their way out to the ring. Jericho has the SmackDown trophy in hand and the fans are booing them.

 


 

Show says despite what happened last night, he is still a proud member of the RAW roster. Jericho says Show proved his loyalty to their tag team is more than his loyalty to RAW. Show says he has something to tell Jericho. Jericho has something to tell him too, he says. Jericho congratulates Show on ending the tyranny of DX. Jericho keeps cutting Big Show off.

Show says he did what he did for his own career. He says he struck a deal with Teddy Long and since SmackDown won the match at Bragging Rights, he is the new #1 contender to Undertaker’s World Heavyweight Title. The camera cuts to the parking lot where NASCAR drivers Kyle Busch and Joey Legano are outside doing doughnuts. The cars are wrapped in WWE ads. Busch and Logano each have a Bella Twin on their arms. They enter the ring and grab mics.

Busch says that’s how you make an entrance and talks about being a fan of WWE. Busch talks about what Big Show did and says he understands. They shake hands. Joey won’t shake Show’s hands and says what he did last night was weak. Busch apologizes for Joey’s behavior, calling him young and dumb. They say Buffalo hasn’t made it to the playoffs since Hulkamania. Busch disses Terrell Owens. Joey announces Big Show vs. Triple H tonight. Busch puts Jericho in a match against Kofi Johnston… Kingston, he corrects himself. Kofi’s music hits and out he comes as we go to commercial.

Chris Jericho vs. Kofi Kingston

Back from the break and the bell rings. Kofi and Jericho lock up but Jericho goes out to the floor and stalls coming back in the ring. They go at it again and Kofi takes it to the corner. Jericho shoves him out of it. Jericho comes back with a kick and right hands. Kofi fights back and hits a big dropkick on Jericho for a 2 count.

More kicks and another 2 count by Kofi. Jericho chokes Kofi on the ropes ala Christian. Kofi rolls Jericho up for another 2 count. Jericho with a side headlock. Jericho with a big shoulder block off the ropes. They run the ropes and Kofi drops Jericho with a big elbow. Jericho goes to the floor but Kofi flies over the top rope onto him.

Kofi leaps on Jericho’s shoulders with right hands but gets slammed down to the mat. Jericho hits a springboard kick off the ropes onto Kofi, knocking him from the apron and to the floor. We go back to commercial break.

Back from the break and Jericho has controlled Kofi through the commercial, throwing him face first into the ring post. Jericho has a sleeper variation applied now. Kofi rolls Jericho up for another 2 count. Jericho comes right back with a big clothesline. 2 count by Jericho. Jericho taunts Kofi now. Kofi fights back, taking it to the corner. Jericho goes for the running bulldog but Kofi counters and shoves him into the corner. Kofi knocks Jericho down with forearms, a dropkick and a big right hand. Kofi hits the Boom Drop. Jericho rolls up and goes for the Walls of Jericho. Kofi counters but Jericho hits an enziguri for a 2 count. They go to the top and Jericho tries for a superplex. Kofi pushes him to the mat and nails the crossbody. Jericho rolls over the pin attempt and gets a 2 count. Kof hits the Russian leg sweep and goes for Trouble in Paradise. Jericho catches him in mid-air and turns it into a Walls of Jericho. Kofi rolls that over for a 2 count. Jericho nails the Codebreaker out of nowhere but only gets a 2 count as Kofi’s foot was on the ropes. Jericho argues with the referee and turns around to a Trouble in Paradise for the pinfall and the win.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

– We see Kofi Kingston heading up the ramp when Randy Orton comes out and attacks him. Orton throws him off the stage to the floor and we go to commercial.

– Back from the break and Josh Matthews asks Randy Orton backstage why he attacked Kofi. Orton says he would still be WWE Champion if it wasn’t for Kofi and he’s just getting started with revenge on Kofi. Legacy walk up and tell Josh to leave. They say they agree with Orton. They have a gift for Orton, to thank him for what he’s done for them. They run over and lift a cover off a NASCAR stock car. Orton is painted on the front of it and it looks kinda cool. Orton likes it. Ted says even though they have had their differences, he is still their leader. They say they have another surprise for Orton tonight involving Cena and soon the WWE Title will come back to Legacy. They leave whiul

– Eve Torres is talking to Kyle Busch and Joey Legano about an upcoming race when Jack Swagger walks up. He says they have a lot in common – young, successful champions and proven winners. They say they’re going to announce John Cena’s next Championship opponent tonight. Swagger likes this and tries to impress Eve. The Miz walks up and introduces himself as US Champion and the only person representing RAW who won last night. He says he deserves a WWE Title shot. Miz kisses Eve on the hand and she cringes.

– We see Santino Marella and Melina backstage walking to the ring with the paparazzi snapping photos of them.

– Back from the break and we get a promo for Sheamus. He will be making his RAW debut tonight and Michael Cole calls him one of the hottest free agents coming to RAW.

Melina and Santino Marella vs. Chavo Guerrero and Jillian Hall

Out comes the WWE Divas Champion Melina and her partner Santino Marella. Out next are their opponents, Jillian and Chavo Guerrero. Santino and Chavo start things out. Santino with a big back drop and an elbow. Santino goes for the salute drop but misses. Chavo stomps away.

Chavo takes control for a minute before Santino fights back with some comedy moves. Jillian is tagged in. She slaps Santino and he tags in Melina. She and Jillian trade shots. Melina ducks a clothesline with her Matrix move. Jillian clotheslines Jillian. Hornswoggle comes to the apron. He’s dressed like DXswoggle again. Melina goes for a pin but the referee doesn’t see it and Jillian hits the ropes. Melina hits her leg drop finisher for the pinfall and the win.

Winners: Santino Marella and Melina

– After the match, Hornswoggle celebrates with Melina and Santino in the ring. A man walks in the ring and hands Hornswoggle a neon green envelope. Hornswoggle goes over to Jerry Lawler and shows him the paper. It’s a cease and desist order from DX to stop wearing their outfits. Hornswoggle walks away looking sad and confused.

– Justin Roberts is in the ring introducing John Cena when Legacy’s music hits and out comes Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes to the ring. Cody takes the mic and says the Champ is not here. Ted says just because Orton can’t face Cena for the WWE Title, doesn’t mean they can’t. Ted says at Survivor Series, they will bring the belt back to Legacy. Ted makes a challenge to Cena to face them one-on-one or a handicap match. Cena’s music hits and out comes the WWE Champion to a big pop.

Cena says last night was the best in WWE competing in one final showdown and talks about the match. Cena says his rivalry with Orton needed to end and it did. Cena says he beat Orton and earned the right to say no more. Cena says they haven’t earned the right to a WWE Title shot. Cena says he’s been talking with Busch and Legano about Legacy having a match tonight. He introduces their opponents and it’s MVP and Mark Henry. We go to commercial.

MVP and Mark Henry vs. Legacy

Back from the break and MVP is going at it with Ted. Cody comes in for some double teaming and keeps working on MVP. Cody with an armlock on MVP. MVP fights out and tags in Mark Henry. Henry drops Cody a few times and hits a big headbutt. Henry’s knee gets taken out by Ted and Cody falls on him for a 2 count. Ted is tagged in and he comes in swinging at Henry. Cody comes in, chokes Henry and Ted comes right back in and choke Henry on the ropes.

Cody is in now with a choke on Henry. He tries for a cheapshot on MVP but the ref stops MVP from coming in and is distracted. Ted runs in and works on Henry’s leg some more. 2 count by Cody on Henry. Henry fights out of the face lock but Cody comes right back and locks it again. Henry ower powers Cody and drops him. Ted and MVP come in. MVP tosses Ted and hits the knee to the jaw and his Ballin’ elbow. 2 count by MVP. The referee is distracted as Henry clotheslines Cody and MVP rolls him up for the pinfall and the win.

Winners: MVP and Mark Henry

– Legacy are in the ring arguing with the referee when Randy Orton makes his way to the ring. Orton says he understands the terms of last night but he doesn’t care, he’s entitled to a rematch with John Cena for the WWE Title and he will do whatever he has to get the belt back. Kofi Kingston appears on the big screen and tells Orton nobody cares what he says. Kofi is backstage, standing on Orton’s NASCAR car. Kofi says he loves how durable these cars are and pushes a big box into it. It pisses Orton off. Kofi pulls out a key and starts keying Orton’s car. Then he pulls out a crowbar and tears the car up some more. Orton is fuming in the ring. Kofi gets a bucket of orange paint and pours it all over the hood. Pretty much it. We go to commercial.

Evan Bourne vs. The Miz

Eve Torres is the special ring announcer for this match. Out first comes Evan Bourne followed by the WWE US Champion The Miz. They lock up and Miz kicks Bourne back into the ropes. Miz takes Bourne down and gets a 2 count. They trade kicks until Miz puts a knee to the face on the ropes. Miz with a backdrop and another 2 count. Miz with a modified camel clutch using the arms. Bourne fights out of it but Miz rolls through it. Bourne with two knees to the face and a 2 count.

Bourne with a series of kicks and a 2 count. Miz rams Bourne into the corner with shoulder thrusts. Miz beats Bourne down in the corner when Jack Swagger comes walking out to ringside. Miz beats Bourne down in the corner. Swagger takes the mic and faces Eve Torres. He says nobody is watching Miz wrestle, they’re all watching Eve watch him. Miz kicks at Swagger but misses. Miz comes out to the floor to confront Swagger. They come face to face and Bourne flies over the top on both of them while the referee is counting. Bourne makes it back and Miz is counted out.

Winner by Count Out: Evan Bourne

– Miz chases Swagger up the ramp and we get a graphic for Big Show vs. Triple H tonight and go to commercial.

– Back from the break and it’s announced that Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne will host next week’s RAW.

Jamie Noble vs. Sheamus

Jamie Noble is waiting in the ring when Kyle Busch and Joey Legano appear on the big screen. They bring out RAW’s newest star, Sheamus. Sheamus takes the mic and says he’s here on RAW to make an impression. Noble strikes first with kicks but Sheamus knocks him out to the floor with a shoulder.

Sheamus brings Noble back in the ring, works him over and gets a 2 count. Sheamus does a torture rack type move until Noble fights out. Noble kicks but Sheamus tosses him back into the corner. Sheamus charges but Noble moves out of the way. Noble tries for a roll up but Sheamus grabs him by the throat and tosses him into the corner. Knees from Sheamus as we get some boring chants from the crowd. Sheamus drops a big knee on Noble and works on the neck. Sheamus ends up hitting a big kick to the head for the pinfall and the win.

Winner: Sheamus

– Backstage we see DX walking around as we go back to commercial break.

Big Show vs. Triple H

The World Tag Team Champions Big Show and Chris Jericho wait in the ring while DX make their entrance for this singles match. Triple H takes the mic before the match and says he met with Busch and Legano earlier. The match has been changed to a Lumberjack match. The Lumberjacks are the guys on RAW that Big Show screwed over, says Triple H. Out comes Chavo Guerrero, MVP, Mark Henry, Kofi, Miz, Jack Swagger, Santino Marella, Primo, Chris Masters and one or two others. Jericho sees this and flees through the crowd. HBK takes the mic and says this is also a No DQ Lumberjack match which means the Lumberjacks can do anything they want. HBK tells the referee he’s not needed and brings out the special guest referee – John Cena. Cena comes out in a referee shirt and hits the ring.

Triple H pulls the ropes down and sends Big Show to the floor. Chavo, The Miz and other RAW stars attack Show as we go to commercial break.

Back from the break and Triple H and Big Show are going at it in the ring. Triple H gets on Show’s back. During the break, the RAW stars attacked Show on the floor but he knocked most of them right back down. Triple H is trying to put Show down with the sleeper now. Show slams Triple H to the mat. Triple H tries to scoop slam Show but he falls on top of him for a 2 count. Show catches Triple H with a big spear.

Show taunts HBK from inside the ring while he stands on Triple H. Show knocks Triple H down again and walks over his back. Triple H gets up with right hands but Show drops him with a big side slam. Show with a headbutt now and another. Show hits Triple H with more kicks and headbutts, then a scoop slam. Chris Masters tries to get involved and Show brings him in the ring by his head. Show hits the knockout punch on Masters. Triple H staggers Show with a knee to the head and a couple splashes. He comes off the ropes again but Show grabs him for a chokeslam. Triple H counters it with a DDT and a 2 count.

Triple H goes for a Pedigree but Show counters it with a big backdrop. Show climbs to the second rope and splashes down on Triple H. He makes a pin and Cena counts to 2 before stopping, faking a hand injury. Show gets in Cena’s face. He turns around to a double dropkick from Primo and Chavo. Swagger and Miz clothesline him in the corner but get dumped. Henry splashes Show in the corner and MVP hits his big kick. Bourne hits the SSP on Show. Santino comes in and does some comedy. Show gets up and chokeslams Santino. Kofi hits Trouble in Paradise on Show and Cena drops him with an Attitude Adjustment. HBK comes in the ring and Triple H holds up a SmackDown shirt, laying it on Show. HBK staggers Show with Sweet Chin Music and Triple H nails the Pedigree for the pinfall and the win.

Winner: Triple H

– HBK and DX celebrate in the ring when the music plays and out comes Kyle Busch and Joey Legano. They have been thinking all night about who should face Cena at Survivor Series and they couldn’t agree until they found one guy who put them on the same page. The music hits and out comes Hornswoggle, still dressed in DX gear. They announce that it will be Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H vs. John Cena for the WWE Title at Survivor Series. RAW goes off the air with DX and Cena looking at each other in the ring.
