WWE responds to racial slur used during segment with Ball Family on Raw which caused ‘chaos’ backstage

During the Miz TV segment on Raw last night with the Ball family, Lavar Ball’s 15-year-old son Lamelo used his microphone to say “beat the [n-word] ass while his father was in a verbal confrontation with the Intercontinental Champion.

The language went out to the live crowd and was featured on the USA Network, causing ‘chaos’ backstage with Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn obviously unhappy Lamelo’s statement was heard by fans.

The moment obviously trended on social media despite WWE pulling their own video of the unfortunate moment. They were contacted by the Los Angeles Times and responded with the following:

The inappropriate language used by a guest during the ‘Miz TV’ segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE’s values.

Thoughts on the segment last night guys?

depicting violence is fine but words might hurt their image.

Well my first thought on it besides Vince and Booker T saying it was no one expected kid rock to drop the f-bomb a few years ago so let’s not blow this out of proportion. Agreed kid slipped up and they are a walking media stunt.

    Yeah eh?

WWE can’t be blamed for what a guest says on their show. It’s not the same situation. Besides that, anyone that would believe anything that comes out of the Ball family’s mouth is “scripted” should be smack in the face with a red-hot tire iron.

If anything, WWE should be criticized for having that clown Ball on to start with. This won’t effect Hogan’s return at all.

(Booker T removes headset) oooooooh myyyyyyyy goooooootnesssss

This will lead to WWE staying away from Hogan even longer now.

Didn’t even notice. Kinda zoned out during that segment.

The fans hear far worse from drunken idiots in the audience week in and week out.
