A new chapter has begun for wrestler Aleah James after her departure from WWE, where she had been a part of the NXT UK brand before it went on hiatus last year.
WWE announced in 2022 that NXT UK would be taking a break in September to make way for the launch of NXT Europe in 2023. However, there has been little information about the company’s plans for the new brand since then.
Taking to Twitter, Aleah James revealed that she is no longer with WWE. Her journey in the wrestling business began in January 2019 when she joined the Portuguese promotion Centro De Treinos De Wrestling. Over time, she showcased her talents in various promotions, including Pro Wrestling EVE, Schadenfreude & Friends, Frontline Wrestling, London Lucha League, ATTACK! Pro Wrestling, and Revolution Pro Wrestling.
James’s WWE debut occurred in November 2020 when she faced Jinny but ended up on the losing side. However, her potential was recognized, and after competing against Aoife Valkyrie in December 2020, WWE officially signed her to their NXT UK brand in January 2021.
Her last match with WWE took place on March 2nd, where she emerged victorious against Stevie Turner. Now, Aleah James has declared herself a “free bird,” signifying a fresh start in her career. Despite her departure, her WWE profile still remains listed under the active Superstars section of the roster.
