On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, a #1 Contender’s match for the Universal Title took place. Rey Mysterio vs Robert Roode vs AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Ricochet was the match and every superstar gave it their all in order to come out on top.
Ricochet was eliminated first followed by Shinsuke Nakamura. AJ Styles was then eliminated by Robert Roode and it was finally down to Roode and Mysterio.
Ultimately, it was Rey Mysterio who won the match and is now the #1 Contender for the Universal Title. He will be challenging Rollins for the title next week on RAW.
