The WWE Universe has been mourning the death of Howard Finkel, the legendary WWE ring announcer passed away at the age of 69 amid reports that Finkel suffered a serious stroke in 2018 and had been in ill health.
WWE CEO/Chairman Vince McMahon paid tribute to the “greatest ring announcer of all time” as he took to his Twitter account, adding to the continuously growing number of reactions by WWE employees, talent, and fans alike.

Finkel was considered to be the greatest ring announcer in the history of sports-entertainment. Well respected by current WWE talent, Finkel’s and contributions to the world of professional wrestling, he was officially inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame back in 2009.
Social media platforms have been abuzz with people in the wrestling industry, most of which grew up watching him and/or were lucky enough to have worked with him in the WWE ring. Superstars welcomed Fink’s signature call, “and NNEWWW World Champion!” following matches ending in a title victory.
