Update on conflicting reports over terms of Jeff Hardy’s new WWE contract

There are conflicting reports making the rounds among trusted pro wrestling sources regarding the terms of the new contract veteran performer Jeff Hardy recently signed with World Wrestling Entertainment to remain under the WWE umbrella for the remainder of his active in-ring career.

Originally it was noted that Jeff Hardy likely signed a five-year contract with WWE as that is what the company was getting most of its wrestlers to agree to.

This report came from Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter at F4WOnline.com.

In a conflicting report, however, Mike Johnson posted a story at PWInsider.com disputing Meltzer’s story in the Observer, claiming that per his sources, Hardy’s new deal is nowhere near five years in length.

According to the Johnson report, Hardy’s new WWE deal is closer to a two or three-year contract, even after taking into account the extra time WWE added on due to his injuries that rendered him inactive for dates owed on his prior deal with the company.
