The former WWE star CM Punk is headed to AEW and it is not a secret anymore. Though both the parties have been quiet about it, the fans are quite certain that he will make his pro-wrestling return at AEW. Darby Allin’s “best in the world” comment is also an indication of the same.

Punk had inked a deal with AEW and he will be on the company’s television programming “nearly every week” as reported by Ringside News. He will also compete in the ring and new information about that arrangement has emerged.

Punk recently received a lot of praise as he trained for the Starz show Heels. It was also speculated that he might have been using a ring at Pro Wrestling Tees’ Chicago brick-and-mortar store and never allowed himself to really get “ring rust.”
Darby Allin could be his first possible opponent and Daniel Bryan, who is also slated to debut in AEW could be his opponent eventually as well. ‘ The Second City Saint’ is expected to make his debut at next week’s AEW Rampage: The First Dance in Chicago, which is his hometown.
