WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has the final say in anything and everything that goes on in the company, for better or worse. Vince McMahon also sabotaged Jon Moxley’s matches.
Vince McMahon has been WWE Chairman since 1982 when he, along with his wife Linda had purchased WWE from his father Vince Sr and his partners, Gorilla Monsoon, Arnold Skaaland & Phil Zacko. McMahon saw various changes in his company over the last few decades as well. All through that, he continued to adapt to the changing times. However, many fans now feel that he is out of touch and simply has no idea what is good for a WWE Superstar. The WWE Chairman is larger than life in many ways and he also has his own peculiarities.
B. Brian Blair was one of the veterans in WWE as he worked alongside Jim Brunzell in the Killer Bees tag team in WWE between 1985 and 1988. Although the duo would compete on various high-profile cards – such as WWE WrestleMania 2 – McMahon made false promises for them to win the WWE Tag Team Titles. Blair would leave back in 1988 after getting frustrated with Vince McMahon’s false promises.
B. Brian Blair recently spoke on The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, where he talked about how Vince McMahon tried to convince him to stay and was even sad when left as McMahon wanted him to stay.
“He tried to talk me out of it… He said, ‘Talk about it for a minute.’ Vince is a good worker too, so you never know if he’s shooting. When I said that, he just kind of gave me a smile and he hesitated, a little smile, because I said, ‘Can I give you my two-week notice?’ He said, ‘Can you give me a month?’ He goes, ‘I really hate to see you go, Brian.’”
