WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is currently one of the top heels, sitting at the top of the red brand. Over the years she faced numerous opponents and defended the title several times on multiple reigns. However, it turns out that she did not want to be a champion at one instance. Previously, Lynch’s wedding photo featuring her baby, Roux was also revealed.
Becky Lynch had expressed her desire to drop the title.
WWE star Shayna Baszler is another star whose heavy striking ability and her MMA background have helped her decimate her opponents inside the squared circle. She was previously entailed in a feud with ‘Big Time Becks.’
The two had locked horns at WrestleMania 36 for the RAW Women’s Championship. However, despite being booked as a strong competitor, Shayna Baszler would lose to Becky Lynch at the Show of Shows and this simply did not sit well with fans.
While speaking on the Broken Skull Sessions, Becky Lynch talked about her 398-day reign as RAW Women’s Champion. Lynch revealed that she wanted to drop the title at WrestleMania 36 and also proceeded to explain the reason why.
“It is hard as a babyface to stay champion that long. I had actually pitched to lose at WrestleMania 36 because it is simply far too taxing and difficult to stay champion for that long and as a babyface I think I’m pretty good in the chase. We did not go that direction. I ended up holding that for 398 days.
Becky Lynch is set to defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Doudrop at the Royal Rumble on January 29th . It is set to take place at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri, beginning at 7pm ET with the Kickoff pre-show.
