Trump Brutally Rejected By George W. Bush

Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, has recently released a book containing letters that he has received throughout his life. The book, which carries a price tag of $99, has been receiving a lot of attention, with Trump himself promoting it as containing some highly embarrassing letters from high-profile individuals. However, the late-night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel, recently offered a different perspective on the book during one of his monologues.

Kimmel took the opportunity to poke fun at some of the contents of the book, revealing that some of the letters contained within were not as groundbreaking as Trump had led his followers to believe. For instance, Kimmel highlighted a letter from Hillary Clinton, which Trump had boasted was going to be highly embarrassing. However, Kimmel revealed that the letter was just a signed form letter thanking Trump for a donation. This was particularly amusing given Trump’s tendency to criticize and attack Clinton at any opportunity.

Kimmel also pointed out other curious entries in the book. For instance, he revealed that Trump had once invited former president George W. Bush to the Miss Teen USA pageant. However, Bush had politely declined, stating that he and his wife Laura were busy that day. Kimmel found this to be amusing, given the strained relationship between Trump and the Bush family.

Another entry in the book that Kimmel found noteworthy was Trump’s criticism of actor Alec Baldwin, who had portrayed Trump in a highly popular and widely acclaimed impression on “Saturday Night Live.” According to Kimmel, Trump had once been a fan of Baldwin and had even offered him the chance to play him in a movie about his life. However, Baldwin had declined, and instead played him on the TV show. Trump was not happy about this and had also criticized Baldwin in the book for his recent involvement in the fatal shooting on the set of the movie “Rust.” Trump had expressed doubts about Baldwin’s claim that he did not know the gun was loaded, which Kimmel found to be highly insensitive.

“He’s been talking about this letter from Hillary [Clinton] that’s gonna be so embarrassing. It’s a signed form letter thanking him for a donation,” Kimmel pointed out. “The guy who calls every Republican who doesn’t like him a RINO supported and donated money to Gov. Cuomo, Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton.

He invited George W. Bush to the Miss Teen USA pageant,” Kimmel noted. “For real. Bush wrote back: ‘Unfortunately Laura and I are booked that day.’”

Overall, Kimmel’s take on Trump’s new book highlighted the sometimes absurd and humorous nature of the letters contained within. While Trump may have hoped to generate some buzz with the book, it seems that it may have backfired, with Kimmel’s monologue serving to deflate some of the hype surrounding the publication.
