Are Roman Reigns & Drew McIntyre Leaving WWE?

Xero News took to Twitter and reported the following when it came to Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre’s status in WWE.

 


 

Some News Bits. Reigns will be going on hiatus post SummerSlam. Ilja Dragunov to join Imperium later on. Survivor Series planned to be faction warfare. Drew Mcintyre is rumoured to be signing a new deal. Big new deal. More on Roman: Reigns will be on hiatus post SummerSlam, but will still be around, just more minimal. Royal Rumble-WM40 will be more full time-ish again. Reigns will work Saudi in October and early plan of him working Survivor Series too, unsure doing what though.

The highly anticipated WWE Money in the Bank 2023 event in London, England is set to feature one of the biggest names in professional wrestling, Roman Reigns. WWE has officially confirmed Reigns’ participation in the event, putting an end to speculations and rumors surrounding his appearance.

The WWE press release stated that Reigns is scheduled to appear live at The O2 in London for both SmackDown on Friday, June 30, and Money in the Bank on Saturday, July 1, 2023. This news is sure to excite fans who have been eagerly awaiting Reigns’ return to the ring, as his presence adds to the star-studded lineup for the event.

Furthermore, the upcoming SmackDown event will be broadcast live and in primetime from the UK for the first time ever, airing at 8pm local time on BT Sport. The Money in the Bank event, on the other hand, marks a historic moment for UK wrestling fans, as it will be the first WWE Premium Live Event to be held in London in over two decades. This has created an extra level of anticipation among fans, who have been eagerly waiting for the return of WWE to London.

Tickets for both SmackDown and Money in the Bank are set to be available for purchase starting Friday, May 19 at 10am BST through Ticketmaster.co.uk and TheO2.co.uk. Fans are advised to grab their tickets as soon as possible, as they are expected to sell out quickly.

With Reigns’ confirmed appearance at Money in the Bank, fans can look forward to witnessing the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion in action alongside other notable WWE Superstars such as Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Seth Rollins, and Becky Lynch. The stage is set for an epic showdown, and fans are sure to be in for a treat with the incredible lineup of WWE Superstars set to take the ring at The O2 in London. That said, Roman Reigns’ extended break from WWE was also recently leaked.

STAMFORD, Conn., May 17, 2023 – WWE® (NYSE: WWE) today announced that Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will appear live at The O2 in London for SmackDown on Friday, June 30, and Money In The Bank on Saturday, July 1, 2023.

Final remaining single event tickets for SmackDown and Money In The Bank will be available this Friday, May 19 at 10am BST via Ticketmaster.co.uk and TheO2.co.uk.

This marks the first time ever that SmackDown will broadcast live and in primetime from the UK at 8pm local on BT Sport. Money In The Bank marks the first WWE Premium Live Event to be held in London in over two decades.

The other names on WWE.com that are advertised for Money in the Bank currently are Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and Becky Lynch.

Drew McIntyre was originally on that list but was removed and replaced with Reigns a couple of weeks ago, as McIntyre’s uncertain status with WWE continues to come into question.

We also know that Reigns is set to team with Solo Sikoa to challenge Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on May 27, and he’s being advertised for SummerSlam on August 5 as well.
