The legendary pro boxer Mike Tyson recently spoke about Biggie.
Mike Tyson opens up on meeting Biggie Smalls
During a recent interview with Valuetainment, Tyson said [as transcribed by Wrestling-Edge]:
“I first met Biggie when I came back and I fought with either Peter McNeeley or Frank Bruno. I had a party at my house and he came. At the time I was really religious and I was a p***k and he can’t drink so he shot the drink down, came in the house and he was very impressed. He asked ‘how much the house cost’ and at the time it was six million and that was cool to him back then but he would to continue to live it, would have been like buying a candy bar for him. He was just a cool guy then I met him again at Nell’s.”
Hip Hop’s greatest artists, Tupac Shakur and Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace (Biggie Smalls) had premature tragic deaths. It is quite difficult for the fans to imagine where the industry would be today if they were alive. The friends turned industry foes were at the peaks of their careers when they were brutally murdered in separate drive-by shootings.
Rapper Notorious B.I.G. died after being shot four times in a drive-by shooting a few meters from the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles’ Miracle Mile District on March 9th, 1997.
Having attended an industry party with other rap artists like Sean Combs (P.Diddy), Missy Elliot, and Aaliyah, Biggie was on his way back to his hotel with his entourage when he came to a regular stop at a red light.
A minute later, a dark Chevy Impala pulled up alongside the rapper in his Green GMC Suburban and opened fire on the vehicle.
Despite being rushed to nearby Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre for emergency surgery, Notorious B.I.G. succumbed to his catastrophic injuries and was pronounced dead at 1:15 am.
